    Oh man I’d have to bring that amethyst home! Amethyst is totally on my bucket list to find. I’m sure that rock was probably about 60 lbs 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ I’d still have to take it

    Man, i thought for sure when you said it was amethyst, it had to go home with you! But that was some serious restraint. And the trade off for your "find of the day" was a good trade! a broken back your your wife's eye role, for everything you found after you decided not to take that, was a great trade off! You find of the day was an awesome agate with totally gorgeous bands! And big too! It was a totally great video and thanks so much for taking us along!

      @@AgateDad I saw reports that copper could be found there, so that was my main goal. Found a few pieces with Chrysocolla on them and a decent piece of basalt with . I think, is some copper coating. A couple blue-green nuggets and a couple nice formed quartz crystals and one 20 lbs brecciated jasper with quartz laced through it...and it was beautiful walking through there.

    Nice finds. I could not have left the amethyst behind like you did. That would of had to come home with me. Don't you worry about ticks when you are doing creek hunts? They are really bad here in Michigan where I live.

    • @AgateDad

    • @donnalantz7981

  • @katiecrowley3417
    @katiecrowley3417 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I know exactly where you are but your spot is safe with me! It is gorgeous there. I might go see if I can find that big rock for fun, I probably wouldn't carry it out either though. Have you been farther up the river by the small waterfall? Not sure if it's good for rock picking, it's just pretty.

    • @katiecrowley3417
      @katiecrowley3417 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmm, looks like either you went back for it or someone else grabbed it. Or I'm just that bad at spotting rocks! My eyes are pretty well trained for seeing shed antlers but I'm terrible with rocks. I just wanted to see it! Never seen anything quite like that.

  • @obieobrien5883

    You should cut that geode out, not like last time but just cut the host rock around the geode (if you can find a big enough saw) into a cube
    Edit: never mind, you left it lol

  • @ondrea3000
    @ondrea3000 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1
