This video still applies to the new patch, the main thing to note is that 2k and 5k no longers combos into 6k so you must do 2k/5k > HS > c.S instead of 2k > 6k > HS if you want to wallslump. I didn't go over negative edge in this video but its pretty easy. Hold down HS if you wanna release to fire the shot, or just tap if you wanna fire it that way. Most people prefer NE but I don't personally use it often.
The "c.s-6k-236s-shoot" block string doesn't seem to work now,i can't dash close enough to use c.s again before getting hit by the dp,is it I do it too slow or the initial c.s pushes the opponent further due to the longer start up of 6k?
The great thing popular modern fighting games have compared to legacy fighting games that still have healthy communities are actually well edited, informative, timestamped videos like these as opposed to 2-3 hour unedited stream vods labelled as “basic guide”. I have no idea why XX and Xrd are riddled with the latter. Basically I want to say great video, learned a lot more from this than i did from a 3 hour “basic Zappa guide”
Great stuff, especially the safe jump setups from wall slump which I have been struggling with quite a bit, will definitely try out the way you suggest here.
8:20 for anyone curious, a good visual queue for this timing is when the gun suddenly points up from the roll when you hold it out. that's when you can shoot. you can also shoot slightly before this too, so learn the time it takes for the gun to flip up and shoot slightly before it for more consistency.
Thanks for this video, I got the initially mentioned blockstring combo down in about 30m and while it was tough, your demonstrations help a lot! Will be coming back a lot to learn more. One other question, however. What are the songs playing in the background? Are they a mod?
I blocked the "0 chances of blocking" Steady Aim Roll. TWICE!! That's a cool video that I think I'll rewatch a few times to get infos (and MU knowledge against HC), thanks for that! (Dasein advised me to watch your video, because guess what... I decided to learn HC! For only one MU that is impossible to handle with Baiken though)
Haha, you're the first person I've ever fought who blocked it. I was really impressed. Remember that if you need any other tips you can ask me or Dasein directly but hopefully this video helps!
I know how to do IAD but I can't seem to do it fast enough to do IAD safe jump. Not even with dash macro and pressing the button immediately after up inputs. Do I have to delay JS so that it comes out closer to the ground? Or do I have to optimize my IAD input by grinding it in training mode?
there isnt really a way to cheat learning. if you're new to strive or fighting games i would learn how to play other characters first, but other than that, you just have to put in the effort
Hey Tiger amazing pressure video, I was wondering if you have any ideas on how to balance the pressure / zoning game with HC. Like if you're fullscreen what makes you give up the advantage of fullscreen with zoning and go for more mixups instead and when it's a good idea to stay and regain resources.
I usually convert from long / midrange to close range as long as my resources are stable or I feel like I can easily open the opponent up when I get in. Ideal situation is over half a bar of concentration and about 3-4 bullets by the time I'm in their face, some meter is always appreciated too. I generally just feel HC's close range is much much stronger nowadays than his long range. Ofc if I feel like someone is easily dying to zoning I'll also just commit to that.
@@tiger_pop1069 Thanks for the reply this clears up a lot of questions I had about my playstyle. Keep up the great content and tourney runs dude you're amazing.
I'm having the same issue, the one that includes 236s could be somehow true if u time it perfectly (very tight window as I tried), or a dp will break the string, but I think other moves with get frame trapped and get hit. However, I never had enough time to run up and cs if I time the shot perfectly, I always get hit by dp at that point. Also, I never made cs 6k shot true, I either include a dash after shot and I get counter hit by dp, or I do not dash. It comes out if I do the string twice without dashing, the distance between me and the dummy will finally get to a point that my cs will become a fs, so I couldn't continue the string.
Hey, I recently started trying to learn Happy Chaos and I was wondering how to more consistently land the ATR shot into guard break shot more consistently. How would I go about doing this more consistently? It seems like either I miss the shot from the reticule missing the opponent, or I land the shot, but I don't break the opponent's guard. I know there's a thing with landing each shot within 2 frames of each other on hit to make people launch higher. Does the same 2 frames concept apply to guard breaking as well? You make it seem so fast but it's difficult to do at speed and get the same results you do.
Ik this comment is 5 months old but did u manage to find what the problem was? I'm new to the game and picked up happy chaos and i'm having the same problem
funny enough happy chaos kinda saved my life one day i was depressed and suicidal untill my brother called me to his room to show me happy chaos theme, idk why but that changed my life now all i want to do is play this character that everyone seems to hate anyway thanks for the vid
Happy chaos is the definition of adhd in fighting games 😅, out of the zoners there's on e of three things you need to be a guilty gear projectile thrower Setup involved, long Startup, huge wiff punish multi step zoning prosses, high commitment, deadzone Chaos if played well has none of these really and as far as the adhd analogy his "focus" special is caffeine, "super focus" is a amphetamines, the concentration is you're dopamine management and the reload is coping mecanisms and routines

Tiger Pop is very poggers
this is crazy good info, thanks dude
Great guide, this helped me a lot. Picked up happy chaos as a counter pick for a couple of characters.
Btw what mod are you using for him?

The Halloween ass piano music really underlined my turn to the dark side (maining HC)
Could you do a guide on clean hit guard crush pressure? maybe on the advanced one

Same. I think he might have been nerfed since then.
Can I repost this video to Bilibili (an online entertainment platform based in China) ?

Can you still do the shot into Steady Aim under current patch? @Tiger_Pop
When I set the dummy to 5p, I got the shot off after 6S but the dummy always interrupts my steady aim.
yes
Thanks for the video!
what recolor mod is that for happy chaos
I have a lot of issue trying to dash after Cs - 6k into gun shot
to make it easier do hit c.S, you can delay the shot pretty late, almost as if you're dashing and shooting at the same time
This video still viable in the newest patch?
Yes!

other than 2k and 5k not leading into 6k as a combo, yes
