I see the vision with Perkins, but I really hope for the sake of his development/draft stock, LSU let’s him to commit to one of off ball linebacker or edge for most of his snaps next year. Cause a tweener guy like Micah Parsons both getting drafted early and working out, is the exception not the rule. And even he has effectively transitioned to being a full time edge.
Hasson Reddick is another recent example of a tweener that had that positional flexibility, but once he got to the NFL he had to choose. Couldn’t crack it at off ball, went to the Panthers on a 1 year deal as an EDGE, got 10+ sacks and then got a deal with the Eagles and became an all-pro. With me, Perkins feels best and most impactful as an EDGE, but he isn’t as big as an EDGE should be. He’s 6’1 - 220. If he can maintain that tenacity as a blitzing EDGE while being great in coverage, just keep him where he’s at in the NFL.
there’s a lot of projection with this but i think mykel williams out of georgia could end up as a top 10 prospect. i feel his profile is the prototypical thing that gms love in edges
He could be, but I wish I knew more about him. Didn't get a chance to watch a lot of his film last year cause I wasn't really scouting any Georgia defensive player outside of Kamari Lassiter. However, he is still 19 years old and only a few months older than me (lol) and doesn't at all have to declare. But from what I've heard about him, he was a 2nd Team All SEC DT/EDGE who has great strength and is a good pass rusher. At 6'5 - 265 he does have the size. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for him next year.
Naaaa Beck isn’t crazy impressive as a prospect. I wouldn’t really put my eggs in 1 QB basket right now until the season is over. But they need to get rid of Watson I’ve been saying he’s cooked for the last 3 years even once they traded for him.
Great video!!!
🙏Thank you

Pearce Jr. : Panther🤙
If they end up as the 1st again...I would feel horribly for Panthers fans.
Perkins so tuff i swear
Arkansas's nightmare
As a Bears Fan I wanna see James on our team next year
As a Bears supporter (im a Jets fan) I don’t think they’ll be bad enough to get that good of a pick.
Browns should draft Beck the QB.

Pierce got absolutely clamped last year by JC Latham.
Latham was the 7th overall pick in 2024. I wouldn’t completely blame Pearce (although he did have a sack + forced fumble in that game).
