I found myself saying wow over and over again. What a marvelous career to have.I envy their skills, I truly missed my calling as I can easily see the passion to do this.Incredable skills and craftsmanship.
I agree, I had to watch all 3 videos until 3 AM in the US. Its absolutely amazing how those watch makers finish and assemble those minute parts with such precision, its a just like a heart or brain surgeon, incredible attention to detail and feel
They should have mentioned George Daniels, the greatest watchmaker since Breguet. Compared to his work all these hi end "manufactures" are just mass producing factories.
time:2:40 This isn't correct. Eric Coudray is not credited with this invention. This device is known as the flying triple axis tourbillon designed by a watchmaker called Thomas Prescher. :P
Quite a contrast between the craftsmanship on display & the second-rate translation here. And there's nothing quite like the stench of pretentious elitism surrounding fine horology.
Congratulations on managing to misinterpret what I said entirely, and with such aplomb, whilst proving my point at the same time... kudos. Bonus points for stating the bloody obvious too.
Brilliant series for the connoisseur of fine timepieces with the perfect musical score. Watchmaking is indeed a fine art!

Absolutely fascinating series, thank you. I'd much prefer to put my money into a good watch than some vulgar modern technology like the I Phone.
Amount of money rich fucks spend for these watches, that's what vulgar.
Ironic then that you're typing that comment using vulgar modern technology.
Very informative. Thank You!
Brilliant and fascinating
Thanks for this watch journey

Maybe the Swiss don't like to be reminded that watch making originated in England.
@mdfouru So what about the coaxial escapement invented by George Daniels?

A gyrotourbillon is different than a triple axis tourbillon
