Happy Easter!! I never developed a desire for reading. I'm mildly dyslexic with low comprehension (I was tested as a child), so when I read anything, I have to read it slowly and usually over and over to comprehend the subject matter. But, I really like to hear others read. Any chance of talking you into reading Peter Pan, or any of your other book choices, to us??
There is something really lovely about listening to a story...and I wish I could, but I have a feeling there may be copyright issues. I'd have to look into it!
@@PilgrimKat Tks....that would be awesome! I sub to the 'Celebrating Appalachia' YT channel and she reads each Friday evening. I've never heard her say anything about copyrights but that's in the US. May be different in Scottland. I do know that YT poops it's pants when people play music!
Hi Kat! As a german guy I read, as every year in spring, a book of the famous german writer Hermann Hesse "Siddhartha". The first time I (have to) read it was in school...age 14.....I didn't understand it....years later I read it again and then...💥💥! You may do everything in life just to experience what the so called life is offering to you...BUT...it's better to sit on the river bank watching the water....then one will understand what life really means.... forget about materialism, do the simple things in life, let yourself rest when everyone is hunting for life...they'll never find it.
Thank you for taking the time to write these words 🌿 That phrase you wrote "it's better to sit on the river bank watching the water" has been playing through my head all the last couple of weeks. So, though I felt really busy, I decided stop and sit outside in the sunshine and watch the cherry blossom sway and the neighbor's cat bathing in a sun patch. The best part was when a bee buzzed by. Felt so much calmer and happier...and like I was truly living :)
What are you reading this Spring? 🌸 Let me know in the comments below 👇
