I was an owner operator 26 years ago. I finally got tired of being away from the family and went to work for the post office. Good job, good pay, nice benefits and home every night, but I still miss trucking a little. Keep up the good work.

Jack is great. He complains that Wal-Mart is taking too long to unload his trailer. Jokes that they are assembling the bicycles as they unload them. Then he complains that his trailer is ready when he gets back. It's a riot!
Seeing that trucker dump his fluids out his window reminded me of that one time I had just out of my truck and a driver next to my truck had done the same thing and nothing worse than standing at your door and getting wet; I was not a happy trucker and the other driver heard from me as well.

I agree Jack, a lot of our roads, freeways & highways need some re-surfacing work, that's for sure! Although Washington isn't on the crappy roads lists yet, it's getting there here around Cowlitz county SW Washington, so if You have any deliveries around here, You could run in to some weird road revisions and some nasty roads like S. Pacific, so if You can find an app that tells You anything about road conditions, I'd use that.

Jack, now you know why Pa is called " The Land Of Taxes" . Our fuel tax is the highest in the country. BUT, then again, when the first hurricane hit Texas, gas prices jumped 50-75+ cents per gallon. Can't wait to see where they end up now that the second one is hitting Florida. Be safe and come back to visit Pa sometime.
When I used to load carpet onto independent trucks I always asked if they were going to pick u[ other freight or if he wanted me to spread the weight out through the trailer.
Jack get u a Volvo 780, with auto. U makin the money time to stepper up a notch. If I could have any truck it would be a new 780 Volvo w/ all the works!!
I didn't know there was a Wal-Mart DC there, but I stopped at Gio's once on a run up from central PA! They sell fresh eggs there too right off a local Amish farm. 😁

Did the mud flap bar get straighten? If not we always carried large 18" crescent wrenches, (adjustable wrench), they do quite well in straitening angle and bar iron. The large size gives more leverage. Keep the miles rolling. Mark
Jack, you had mentioned the ongoing problem from previous videos about the mud flap. Would it be safe enough, meaning no electrical wiring, flammable grease etc., to take a propane torch, heat up the steel next to or near the mounting bracket, use a large crescent wrench or vise-grips and give the bar enough twist to give some distance between the flap & the tires? Just a thought as to softening the steel enough to give way. Maybe someone who is very careful with a welding torch?

Funny you say that about the spools of wire, i showed up at prysmian cable in SC, and had to wait 21 hours because they hadnt made the spools yet.
