i guess the core decided to get a blueberry juice injection before having a meltdown. and some glitch in the game caused BOTH of the meltdown and freezedown messages to display which caused that confusing mess of text porridge XD

yeah because there's probably a limit in the reactor thermometer and the core's temperature was REALLY HIGH anyway, so it went WAY past that limit and caused some sort of crazy integer overflow-type shit to happen and made the thermometer display "inf".
