Alright so a lot of these jokes were pretty damn good. But the audience size and sound quality made it seem like they fell flat.
Yeah. There’s only about 10-15 people in the audience, so that makes the jokes seem bad

I really like the feel of this segment, and the one at the DNC. They didn't script it out to the point that they knew exactly what each one was gonna say. And this might be Kate McKinnon's best RBG sketch.

Errr the weekend update format really doesn't work without a live audience. Even jokes that didn't bomb, fell flat without a crowd reaction.
I agree... Also, with big crowds when the jokes do bomb they can generally recover by pointing out how bad they were.
