I’m 50, and when I was off work two days ago, I had an empty house alone , kids and wife at school, and sang and strum these amazing songs to the top of my lungs
Just have to say. I LOVE THIS. I know this isnt a terribly popular band which only makes it all the more special. I LOVE ALL OF YOU. You are special people. SO FEW bands today touch me in the same way as this does. Ever since I saw this Ive been back time and time again and Ill keep coming back to this video until Im 90 years old. This band deserves more attention than I feel theyre getting. Its merely a symptom of living in todays confused and lost world. "Other Lives", if you see this, know that YOU ARE appreciated and it would mean a great deal to me if you keep tapping into the well from which you pulled up these three magical and moving songs. Finding this band marked a uniquely strange time in my life.
musicisbrilliant There is plenty of serious and sincere music out there today, you just have to dig it out. You won't hear it on the radio. I just discovered this band a few days ago and I'm glad I did. This is beautiful.
I don't care how many times I've listened to this, I am forever more in love with Other Lives. What an excellent pairing of musicians! I adores this set!
This band is currently my favorite and has been since I first heard Tamer Animals in 2011. I saw them in Chicago (Lincoln Hall, Feb 2012) and Grand Rapids, MI (Nov 2012) and would've gone to see their last Tamer Animals show in Chicago again if I could've made the trip. They are incredible live and, by all accounts, the grand finale at Lincoln Hall on Dec 8th was amazing. I'm so looking forward to hearing what they do next!!
i saw this band open up for delta spirit at the double door many years ago when they just had their ep. they were amazing then and continue to amaze me now! i've been a fan since! seeing them live tops any studio recording! can't wait to see them next saturday in chicago at lincoln hall! keep it up other lives!
And just like the wind blows into the great unknown, We're on our way, we're on our way. Moving west may bring us better days. We're on our way, we're on our way.
saw Other Lives open for radiohead a few years ago, found this when I got home. this 3 song set continues to move me.. profound, is all i can say. thank you
I just saw them at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco. I can't believe you can see a band this good at such a small venue. They were excellent and I expect they're going to surge in popularity. I think they're opening for Radiohead on the upcoming tour.
Perfectly true to key and rythm - and yet: all spirit and soul you could wish for. Real vioces, real instruments. It sets them far apart from all the cheap computer generated pop that crowds radio stations these days.
First time I have heard this band... It's absolutely fantastic. If they played with a slightly faster tempo and louder, it would be out of this world good.
I need to learn Dust Bowl III on the guitar... Just saw the Band on Gurten Festival, it's perfect music for me, sadly not many people were listening/enjoying...
They used to be called Kunek back in the day. Look up there album on TH-cam, it’s called Flight of the Flynns. You can tank me later. They have always been a wonderful group of people.
Oh I was in the dark age Searching for the ones in my mind. I'm so far away But I had hit the ground runnin'. Steady as you go, I don't mind. I'm still here today. Oh spouting hymns and buzzing rhymes And forever talking when it ain't so kind. But it feels like forever on the run. When your mind turns to fiction. And I had took the long way. And I was in the heat, I don't mind, I'm so far away. But it feels like forever on the run. When your mind turns to fiction. Nudging the ghost from the skull. And a night without sleep. Vibration comes first to the head and last to the feet. Spouting hymns and buzzing rhymes And forever talking when it ain't so kind. But it feels like forever on the run. When your mind turns to fiction. So long, So long..
fun fact: The lead singer here was part of the original All American Rejects band for the first album they made while in high school. Looks like they went in separate directions....

musicisbrilliant Im back again to say... I cant say enough. This is real, true music. Its very rare to find any these days, but here it is.
musicisbrilliant By the way... I know Im being annoying. But Id like to express how I feel about these three perfect tunes.
musicisbrilliant Its serious. Its sincere. Unlike ALL other music today.

You can definitely hear the "How to Disappear Completely" influence but they also have their very own sound. Absolutely love.
One of the few bands I can honestly say their live versions are much better than their produced versions. Love it!
