    Hey Karl,
This was one of the best videos you have put out !
I have seen guys try to make unusual corners and or bends in some screwed up way and the work they did looked screwed up.
Your talent, wisdom and ability working metal is Master Craftsmanship.
The parts you turn out are just so well done.
You mentioned you might need a bit of Bondo for the finish but it looks to me like you will need very little if any at all.
Maybe a little glazing putty and you got it !
I always look forward to your videos.
Thank you for allowing us into your shop and life.

    Enjoy Life

I'm really enjoying the way the Zephyr is coming along, the shape is fitting the window frame very nicely, nice curves, well shaped. I wish I could be there to run my hands over the lines. I really enjoy your form work. Thanks!

Like my grandfather used to say: "I love work. I could watch it all day!" 😁
My oldest son just bought a '79 Firebird, and we'll have a bunch of rust repair to do. You and DD, and Bad Chad have all inspired me to help him in this project, and I will definitely be using your videos to help us get through the various problems we'll be facing.
    Great stuff, as usual

I've welded and done steel fab, as well as done mechanics for well over 20 years but very little sheet metal work. I think that type of work is a craft, and you are definatly one of the better ones on you tube. Most of the people doing sheet metal fab at your level are my age (57). You are amazing to watch I learn something from every video. Thanks for the awesome content Carl.

I’m wondering if you would have soaked the wooden forms in water for awhile and let them get saturated if it would have kept it from burning as you heated and formed. I use wet pieces of wood sometimes to hold behind 2 pieces of thin metal that I’m worried about burning through when welding 👍

Or, wait until the next time a major storm takes trees down in your area and head out with your chainsaw. You're bound to find some hapless homeowner cutting up an oak or maple tree. For the new players out there, just remember that both parts of the door frame, needs to be exactly the same. You cannot not tip one in more than the other. You cannot twist glass! Same goes when you tip the top of the door frame in, you need to tip the bottom of the window channel inside the door outwards to keep it dead straight.

If you have a truck and trailer repair shop locally, they can be a good source for hardwood. I get laminated offcuts that they use for the trailer flooring. Nice, thick stuff. Works well.

Very awesome channel. I think it’s great to see young fabricators and machinist hone their skills. On your bead roll dyes, something to keep in mind if you want to repair the center hole or resize it, you could always make some bushings. I have picked up old dyes and bushed the centers to fit my roller.. that might save you time if you like the profile but the center is not correct or worn… Keep up the great content…

Nice work, replicating stamped sheet metal is not easy with big machines and you got it done, although I bet there is some time in these corners! In the end the finished car will be worth it!

I’m needing to replace the same area on my 31 Tudor doors but the contour is complicated. This video might help me fix those. Thanks man!

    Another youtuber does this.
He buys BONDO by the tons.
We would take a magnet to car sales.
You put in the work to make it right.

I like in your videos, albeit sped up , that you show yourself just looking at what you are planning to do , the observation of a project is the foundation of the starting point . If you don't know where you're coming from it's hard to get where you want to go.

Another great video! Nobody understands how much work it is to do the modifications your doing. I can't wait to see the roof being formed at least that will only take a few minutes.🤣
