Fairhope Alabama 2023

A long weekend road trip down to Fairhope, Alabama was exactly what we needed.
We loved our time in this beautiful waterfront community along the Eastern shore of Mobile Bay. The old Oak trees are stately, draped in fern and layden with lichen. The Spanish moss swings low and greets you with a kiss. The Wisteria creates hanging gardens and a perfect habitat to host a symphony of birdsong
It is a wellspring of historical houses where every door is an invitation. A cherished and treasured southern hospitality like a lighthouse.
Charming store fronts and delightful business owners. Pearly whites all in a row. The whole town is a smile. Water gently laps on the shore. There is an invitation to take a deep breath and find rest.
We spent the first evening strolling the grounds at The Grand Hotel and enjoying a beautiful sunset over the water.
The next day we went for a long run from Fairhope past Point Clear along the Eastern Shore Trail, enjoying the beautiful architecture and views.
The USS Alabama Memorial Park was a great way to spend the day somewhat protected from the elements.
We spent the in between hours exploring the town, shopping and sight seeing. We enjoyed great beer and a Grateful Deal cover band at Fairhope Brewing.
Our Bed and Breakfast was situated on the bluffs and offered a great view of the bay, complete with sailboats during the day and Mobile lights at night.

Great place. Love Bayside Grille at The Grand Hotel. Shopping downtown and pizza at The Ravenite is great also. 😎
