You wouldn't want to go " Prying " ANYTHING with this knife unless you want to snap the tip clean off! S45VN is a great steel but that tip will still snap off very easily.

I have a Ronin Shinto with exactly the same sheath & it's just a pull the dot stud to open the straps.
