You know, Eftelings Fata Morgana has no animatronics. The puppets and eveything that moves are driven mechanically by an amazing system of ropes, wires, pulleys and gears. It was designed by the Efteling and they have patent on it as well. If you know the back story of this attraction, its even more impressive of how much effort they put into this ride.

Dutch and German are both Germanic languages. Neither took any words from the other. The origins of the words come from the same old Germanic language that eventually developed into Dutch and German among others

Dutch and German didn't really exist until recently. It used to be a bunch of dialects. Every village had their own language. These existed on a continuum between the Netherlands and Germany, so every village could communicate with villages and cities around it. There wasn't really a clear border between "languages."
This changed when the languages were standardised. Martin Luther famously wrote a bible that every German was supposed to basically understand. Then later during the Dutch Revolution, the Dutch Parliament decided to create a new bible using their dialects (the "Staten Bible", named after the Dutch parliament, the Staten-Generaal). Eventually everyone ended up speaking a version of these languages roughly based on these bible translations.
This only happened very recently. My mom still speaks her local dialect (a mix between Dutch and German) fluently. My dad doesn't know his dialect. He can fake something that sounds like a dialect, but he doesn't really know the peculiarities. (His dialect would have been a Brabantic Flemish dialect. Pretty similar to standard Dutch.) I only speak standard Dutch.
Standard Dutch is mostly a mix between Holland Dutch and Antwerp Dutch, both major centres of trade.

At his older age, he found the carrousel again and that why its there. You can see in the Efteling museum almost everything Anton Pieck has drawed en designed for the efteling!

The indoor carousel is legitimately super old. The Efteling bought it for nostalgia and preservation of it. The original artist who designed most of the old stuff in the park, was in love with this thing from it's youth, which is why they now own it permanently.

The Baron ride also would need a little translating like the Villa Volta.
In short, the story is about a Baron who finds gold in a cavern under what is rumored to be a haunted hill. He builds a mine and is looking for miners who would go down into the cavern and get him the gold. However, it really IS haunted and the witches (Witte Wieven) White Ladies guard the gold against theft. The first pre-show is where they warn you not to take up the Barons offer because they guard the gold.
Then the part where you're strapped in the cart they appear once more to tell you that you've been warned; Pride comes before the Fall.
And then storywise they sabotage the elevator cable when everyone's at the top of the shaft and the whole crew of miners plummets to their deaths. And the Baron has to find a new group...

So lucky to get the park this quiet, it can become so busy. Even after all this years it's still hands down my favourite theme park. I saw it grow over the span of 25 years with so many new attractions. It's just part of my childhood. Villa Volta will remain my favourite attraction of all time. Also I just love the music throughout the park. They put so much effort in creating every attraction, writing the music for it, creating the theme. I never mind making the 1,5 hour ride to visit the park. And yes the hotel is also amazing.

43:22 Villa Volta has two sections where they explain the myth of the "bokkenrijders", than you actually go into the attraction that represents the cursed House of the weird man that you saw in the second section. It is one of my favorite attractions because it is so unexpected. I loved watching your video, I have a Dutch nationality and when I go to the efteling it is just like a dream. I really like your vlog, because it's really clear that you're not faking your enthousiasm for the Efteling. The Efteling in my opinion offers a one-of-a-kind experience to people, and for many people in the Netherlands it's what they think about when they think about fairy tales. It really puts the ''theme'' in theme park; it isn't just a collection of bland neon-colored rollercoasters like some other theme parks. To bad you didn't go to the Raveleijn Show (it was between Dreamflight and Villa Volta), because it's got horses, falcons, five knights that represent the five elements and a giant five-headed fire-spitting metal dragon!

I am honestly so glad you loved Efteling! It holds such special memories for me as I visited a lot growing up, just like we visited DLP. The cool bins are asking for paper though, like recycling so you need a napkin or bigger bit of paper to set off the sensors I believe. Morris and de Draak is my absolute favourite coaster anywhere but I also adore Dream flight so both your number 1 choices I totally agree with. Also adore the Fata Morgana music too!
The only bit you missed was the bit you spotted on day 1 by Python. It has a cute little old cars ride, little pirate boats that go round (like slinky dog in DLP but individual boats) and a large swinging pirate ship too. They also have cute carnival games there too :)
Excited to see what you bought too! If you didn’t try it too, I recommend the Unox soup they sell on cold days, honestly so good that when my family visit Holland we bring back tins of the stuff from the supermarket lol!

one of the best things you can do if you ever want to revisit is to do so in the winter, because it takes the efteling vibe and feel and sprinkles lots of snow over it to ad a wonderful winter feel to it, there are also bonfires and the closing shows, like the water show look a lot better in the dark (i think efteling also dos a fireworks show in the night near new years eve) and I know thre are various other things that are done to make the dark that much more amospheric, one of those I know of is a show beamed on the facade of Villa Volta
TL;DR if you wanna revisit go in winter, take the atmosphere of the efteling at thow winter over it.

Whils originally 1981, in 2018 the Python got a new track. Also, I think the last two times I went to the Efteling, the first thing to do: Fata Morgana... By now it's a genuince classic, next year it will its 35th anniversary and well.. It was the park first (and to this day only) boat dark ride. "Our" Pirates if you will :). Villa Volta is quite a good story. Short version: It's about a band of legendary villains who ride on the backs of goats, 'Bokkenrijders'. One night they are robbing a church, when a lady in white appears and curses the leader of the Bokkenrijders. From that moment on his house will be haunted by the lady in white, until someone with a clean soul spends a night in the house. The guy with the grey beard before you enter the main ride is Hugo, the leader of the band of villains, and he begs the visitors to enter his house and help him lift the curse.
He's voiced by one of the Netherlands' most celebrated actors, Jules Croiset, who also narrated a lot of fairytales for children in the 1980s. It's a shame this ride translates badly to foreign visitors. Perhaps they could add some sublte screens with subtitles in English, to make it more accesible.
Anyway, loving your reactions to these rides. You looked genuinely like a small child on christmas day in Symbolica. :-)

When I was in the Efteling, some dutch teens were fighting in the Flying Dutchman.
They had to shut the ride down for a few minutes, because they were almost pushing each other on the tracks in the water.
Also quite some queue jumping going on. It was a strange vibe tbh.
