I think because you are not suppose to put jumper wires on mosfets. It will keeps turning on because there is nothing that blocks the current. You would need to pull out the charger and battery.
The video is still helpful and the point he is making is clear.

Before all, the video is great and I thank u for good explain,
Now I have the same problem in my acer laptop
After pressing power button the power led turn of after 10 seconds... same the video above ....
My motherboard is V5WE2 LA-9531P REV 1A
+5valw and +3valw is supplied .
But when I search in schematic about +5valw to +5vs , u33 mosfet on motherboard , the place is empty 🤔, no component solder with motherboard in the u33 place ...
Is their another reason case this problem??
