    Hey guys! This is a tutorial showing you how to create a vector halftone pattern within Adobe Illustrator. I figured I'd do a tutorial on this since quite a few of you requested it when I uploaded the Janoski vs. Huarache video a couple of months ago, and again on my previous video of the Vans shoe. This was just a quick tutorial since it's fairly straight forward to do, but can be very effective when used correctly. I have also put links to the project files of both the Janoski shoe and the Huarache shoe, below. Just like the Vans shoe, you can change the colours to create your own shoe essentially, so I hope you enjoy that. I want to do more tutorials like this in the future so please let me know what else you want to see! Thanks for watching guys!

    I saw many tutorials and no one explained it well. You are the only one who explained what i was looking for. Thank you so much!

    I was looking for a halftone effect recap video and I think you go through the halftone process pretty concisely, so I appreciate you uploading this video - thanks!

      Ste Bradbury Design Could you make a tutorial on actual hand lettering like with a brush pen or just pencil and paper?

    • @jmjmjmjmjmjmjmjmjmjmjm
      @jmjmjmjmjmjmjmjmjmjmjm 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      pkruse115 Yeah, I'd really like this because I can use the pen tool in Illustrator well but I can't actually write that well, especially with brush pen.

    For the best results, I think this process works best for when the max radius is +20. I find that anything smaller get's sharp edges or becomes squares.

    thanks.

    HELP!! When I apply the Color Halftone effect, the result is not the same as the video. The gradation is expressed with Black-Grey colors in identical size of dots, instead of the SIZE of the dots as shown in the video. Does anyone know how to change this? Using Illustrator 2020 version.

    I would very much like to know how to use other colors then black as to not desaturate literally everything, but nothing works... I'm a little pissed off tbh.

    • @JamAttack
      @JamAttack 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Update: I didn't find out an easy solution, but I did figure out if you set the dots to 'overlay' they blend much better with the color. If you want a specific color, making the dots into a mask, masking a solid shape of color can work.
