    The maximum power dissipation of the LM338T is 25 watts. Basically (Input Voltage - Output Voltage ) x Current must be less than 25 watts all the time for ONE regulator... so you definitely can't have 24v in, 5v out at 20A for example, because you'll dissipate (24v-5v) x5A=95 watts. Ideally, it should be less than 15 watts dissipated per regulator. Usually, some balancing resistors (ex 0.1 ohm 5w) between the regulators would be recommended. Some datasheets recommend a few feet of AWG18 wire, which works out to around same resistance value. ( I see you added them at around 3:30, didn't get so far in the video as I wrote this)
    The heatsink won't be that effective if you put all those regulators so close together, you're wasting a lot of heatsink by concentrating all the heat in that end of the heatsink.

      Friend, what do you propose, since I am in need of a source that provides me between 12v to 15 and 10 Amperes.

      @ Buy an actual power supply that can output 12v and 10A or more. Most will have a small potentiometer to adjust output voltage in a small range, like for example 11v to 13.5v - you could modify that potentiometer of feedback circuit (change one or two resistors) to allow wider adjustment range.
      If you want to make your own, buy dc-dc switching regulators that can do that current. Lots of them can, but most are surface mount, so you need to be good at soldering.

    Nice video. But lm338 to 220 package can handle only 4 watts of dissipation. It goes in to thermalshut down mode ,if input is high and output is low and draw more current. Can you suggest adj current limit with short circuit protection. with external pass transistor for 5smps. thanks.

      bende de üç tane bataryası ölü matkap var. normal 3amp adaptörle ilk harekette 7.8 amp çıkıyor. muhtemelen bu devre amp olarak işe yarar.

      Voltajı uygun olursa . Akım da yeterli gelirse sıkıntı olmaz. Kısaca voltajı doğru amperi fazla olan adaptörden zarar gelmez. Çünkü akımı ihtiyacı kadar çeker,az gelirse adaptörü zorlar ısınmaya neden olur.
