Well, years later and I still do
I do not speak Japanese and have to make due with various English translations. It's amazing to me how much this song can touch me. Love, anger, trust, forgiveness, grief, agony, and the willingness to die in the arms of your deceased love... For a 5 minute song it makes me think of Shakespeare's tragedies. More music should be like this! I miss the days where most songs touched me as opposed to just being catchy.
I agree with you there it is one of those songs that needn't be understood to be moved. It is a song that invokes these infinite emotions typically never felt in modern times. Catchy replaced moving which should be a crime. Mind you I'm 22 so its not like Im old... XD

Annie Thao the original singer for this song is a vocaloid singer.
The thing that endeared this song to me initially, and still does to this day, is just the tone of Valshe's voice. During the verses you get a sense of both detachment and deep sadness, the second of which grows more passionate as it gets to the the chorus, where you can just FEEL the sheer hurt and broken-heartedness of the singer... and that part near the end that immitates an exclamation of pain brings it to a head before it falls back into detached despair and sorrow. I can FEEL the pain of the singer at losing a loved one and that just draws it so close to my heart and makes me tear up with every listen.

WoW man Hey not to be even more depressing but paper plane by Rin Kagamine (There is no good dub) with subs is the saddest song EVER I cried just watching the video... It has a prequel its called Prisoner (Len Kagamine) But it isnt as sad (Its still sad) And if u do watch it, it is based off the nazi time period (That will help with the story line xD)

This singer, Valshe, was, at the time of singing this, an amateur who posted her covers online. I believe she may have since begun professional work, but not voice acting to my knowledge. Ciel's voice actress is named Maaya Sakamoto, and she and Valshe are not the same person.
Ciel does not have an official character song, though he has songs from the two Kuroshitsuji musicals.

Actually, it was originally Len's song. People unofficially dubbed it Ciel's song because he didn't have one, unlike some other characters in Black Butler. So ''remembering" it as Ciel's song isn't quite correct. In fact, I do believe that Soundless Voice has been around even before the anime adaptation of Black Butler even existed. Just letting ya know :)

The modules are named Ciel/Sky and Soleil/Sun not because it's for Black Butler lol Besides, Ciel's actual voice actress is not allowed to make character songs. If it was Ciel's character song, it would have been included on the official Kuroshitsuji CD. But it's not.
