Allegri's miserere by Boys Air Choir directed by Connor Burrowes. This video had been extracted from the video formerly added by RyanGolddRedux that included interview on japan TV, SEE : • Video
Connor Burrowes had one of the loveliest treble voices I have heard from the years of listening to high male ones. Most boys are mezzo-sopranos, so I am not surprised the lad given the C6 could only hit a B5. Of course, I likewise know that the original version was intended to go no higher than A5 in the solo. It has been speculated that Gregorio Allegri composed said solo for the mezzo-soprano castrato Marco Pasqualini, but I'm happy that (Johann) Wolfgang Mozart was/is the most prolific classical musician of his time.
You do not imagine that I like so much to this hymn, as 2 years I heard it first in your channel, I congratulate you. I amazed the first time I heard it. God bless.
Just think of this piece next time the big labels insist on their music monopoly (recording/performance/copyrights). Had they existed in Mozart's day, they would have prosecuted him too. The Pope had all the rights to this (even though Allegri wrote it). Even so the hypocritical monopolies cry croc tears that the poor composer/artist is the loser... when they are really thinking about themselves. Thank goodness Mozart got round the copyright of his day! Otherwise we would never have heard this!
A B5 in this instance. Most boys are altos or mezzo-sopranos, the latter pertaining to the soloist. C6 stems from a more recent printing error. I've read that Gregorio Allegri might've written it for Marc'Antonio "Pasqualino" Pasqualini, best mezzo-soprano castrato in the Sistine Chapel, alongside his longtime rival Loreto Vittori, a "mezzista" himself.
@MrDanieliszova How ironic that you should say that, because I do not believe in God. However, I'm not spiritually and aesthetically numb. I can appreciate the wonderful uplifting feeling that this piece conveys.
I know they didn't use women in the original but now they have to.women reach high notes even better than children and it sounds better.they couldn't quite reached to the notes.anyway it was good but there are way better ones on youtube.
Well you can disagree but it wouldn't change the fact that there are far better ones in youtube where women where used and the notes where reached.I am not gonna say this is the best version because there are little boys on this one.you can watch the other versions after watching them if you still have the same opinion then I have nothing to do but respect.If you are not using castradi your best option is women and God gave this voice to women in my opinion castradis are unnatural.
Alper Korkmaz Every one can defend his own opinion, but really you cannot compare men and boys choirs with mixed choirs.... Just have a look at this other interpretatuon here.. ttps://Miserere Mei Deus - Kings College Chapel Choir
@jigoku66 Agree with that comment, however I imagine that those five people just pressed by mistake the dislike button ! Or they just had some battle with wife or spouse or child or girl friend etc.
Oh my heart, angels are singing here on earth...
This is a beautiful "Miserere Mei Deus". It's tenderness brought me to tears. Thank you.
This is literally the more gorgeous piece of music
Superbe, chant et mise en scène!!! Nous sommes parmis les anges...

It's richer and more beautiful for a believer, for as a sinner you know it's begging God's great mercy on you.
Excelente coral! As vozes são profundas e tocantes. :-D
I like this very much, but if I would have pushed the "like" button there would have been 666 "likes".

Itś simple. Who don´t believe in God, can only hat such songs! The world is divided....what a suffering pain!
cool
@surfreduweb
just missing acustics !

@alanembo
Do you prefer the Tallis Scholars' version? (just curious of your opinion, I guess, lol).
Alguém aqui?
... Or are just simply jealous... =)
Nice idea although SETI searches for ET incoming signs of life, therefore cant transmit to them.
But if you know some ET just arrange ssomething...

Treble voice sound simpler than female voice but I think it sounds purer and more beautiful
The women sound like angels! So clean and pure. They can hit the notes very well and the ones I've heard were way better so...
Brilliant!!!!
He is Edgar Burrowes, Connor's brother (the conductor). St. Paul's Choir? Not sure....
Where is the hole in the sky? I guess the angels if falling.
Nice job, fellas!
Magnifique la voix du haute contre.
Incroyable...
magnifique interprétation !
BEAUTIFUL!!!
@MrDanieliszova You do not need to be religious to be capable of knowing what is or isn't beautiful.

Very good version.
I totally agree!
Five people didn't like this. How can you NOT like this?
These kids are great!!!
Don't remember an organ in the original score? But no tenors.
@WRKACTJOB
This is a silly comment that I will discard, and I should do the same with you
Please discard me. I beg of you
Excellent!!!!!
Excellent!!!
Amen.Thank you.
