Lol...you are too funny @K de la Cruz! Well, I am happy ya found me. I haven't been on TH-cam that long, started this channel mid 2020. I've been an INS since 2013. I found this type of info lacking on TH-cam so I wanted to help fill the void to help others. That's my heart. Thank you so much for subscribing and see ya around in other vids. Have a beautiful day!

Thank you for your video! I was an applications developer for 9 years before becoming a SAHM. I went back to school 2 years ago and recently graduated with a M.S. in Health Informatics with a concentration in Data Analytics. I am hoping to find a job soon and your videos provide that motivation to get back out there in the workforce.

@@InformaticsLife I have a question for you. Being that my background is IT and the only healthcare experience I have is via my Masters program, what should I focus on strengthening? My ultimate goal is cybersecurity in Healthcare, but I need to get my feet wet first IN healthcare. It's a bit intimidating for me especially I've been out of the workforce for so long. I've recently joined AHIMA and am eyeing their certifications, but do I really need that just to get back in after spending thousands on my Masters? I feel I just need experience and I can work my way up.

I am interested in this field. How much experience do you need to have in IT? I'm a nurse now and planning to go into an RN to MS-NI program but have no experience in informatics. What are the prospects of getting hired upon completion of the masters degree without experience in that specialty? Any advice?

In your opinion would you go through MSN NI or MS health informatics with SQL at Purdue Global? I’m so confused because being MSN has clout in the hospitals and can open doors to other positions if I can’t break into the informatics positions…any advice would be appreciated! Thank you!

Sorry for my late reply. Your age? If you are not dead then your age hasn't any relevancy to what you aim for in life. Just go for it!! I am happy that you are doing the program now. You will like it. You can also, with that degree, go for careers in project management or process architecture or process improvement specifically for IT.
