Hey guys and welcome to todays video where I want to show you how to correctly use The Ordinary argireline solution a 5 common mistakes to avoid. This should help you maximise the anti aging benefit and I hope you find it useful.. I would love to know your thought on this product so let me know in the comments below.. Love you all so much xx
I use a couple of small drops of argireline to dampen my Frownies instead of water. I have one deep line between my eyebrows that I get from sleeping on my side (with my face smashed into the pillow). The extra boost seems to make a difference.
Question for you. I am using a micro current device but don't want to spend the outrageous price of the serum that goes along with the machine. Could you recommend an ordinary product to be used as the conductor serum? I was thinking of the hyaluronic acid
I've been using both of these together all over my face for almost a year and disappointingly not noticed much visible difference. However, for the last 3 months I've been targeting the argireline on the areas most needed, followed up by a mix of both over my whole face. And I have to say I'm absolutely blown away by the difference it's made to my forehead lines and crows feet now that I'm using it correctly. I'll never be without it now. I'm nearly 60 and was considering botox but honestly now feel I dont need it. We need to learn how to use these products properly for maximum benefit. Thank goodness I saw this video or I'd still just be slapping it on or worse given up on it altogether 🤷♀️
I absolutely love this product! I do use it with the Matrixyl. It has greatly softened my forehead wrinkles. I adore The Ordinary line but these 2 are now key players in my skincare routine. I'm 60 and was recently told I look like I'm 40!
Yes Nancy, me too! I use both products as well. He is correct...wait for the Argireline to dry first ( apply on my forehead, under eyes and temple then fan dry). then I mix with the Matryxl for all over. I am 59 and same here..have been told I look late 30s early 40s! love this stuff! It really works.
Hello! I actually use the Skin Deva argireline 20% that already has the Matrixyl 3000 in it, along with hyluronic acid in it. Absolutely love it! Great results and less expensive!
I use Argiriline, Matryxl and Copper peptides together and absolutely love all 3! I definitely target those more lined spots with the argiriline. Then hit my face with copper peptides and lastly matryxl as I find it the thickest of the 3. Then seal in with a moisturizer and suncreen last! I may try it the way you do it just for fun 😊
I love this combo! I naturally have pronounced laugh lines ever since I was a teenager. I started using this combo last year just to try it out and it works! Really works! People always mistake me as a someone in her 20s still. Definitely a keeper! I love that this video covered every questions we have about this magical skin combo. ❤
@@scooby6742 have you tried Hada Labo H/A Hydrating “lotion”? They call it a lotion, but it is consistency of water. The “Milk” is nice too. It’s a bit thicker, but still light weight.
I just turned 50 in April and am obsessed with The Ordinary products. I just received my "Argireline" in the mail today (it was late) but watching to mix it with my Matrixyl. New subscriber here!
Love this product by the Ordinary. I started using Principal Secret Skincare 30 years ago and Argireline was the magic ingredient. That skincare helped me age without many wrinkles but it gets no press in the current TH-cam skincare world. It is still sold all the time. Thank you for a great video.
Argireline has been a serious fine-line game changer for me, absolutely adorable serum on its own. Love Lactic Acid as well and the Rose hip oil to mention but a few products.
It's like you're reading my mind! I bought both products after having seen your other video, and I came back on youtube and typed in how to apply the ordinary argireline because I felt I didn't quite have it down... and you're right on schedule! Thank you so much
Thank you so much for explaining all of that! You are one of the few people I watch and don't go away confused, because of my lack of knowledge in the first place..😊
I have desert skin, I am surprised there are not tumbleweeds blowing across my skin, lol. I have used The Ordinary's buffett&,then zi mix The Ordinary's Argeriline & Matrixyl w/ the buffett. I love all 3! I am 54 & I doget botox & ithas extended my botox visits. I concur w/ Hyram for the price point & amount you get, these products cannot be beat. The buffet has 5 of the most widely studied & proven + patented peptides available today. I have not been able to find a comparable product for this price point. GREAT PRODUCTS❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Hi I couldn't imagine my skincare routine without theae 2 product included thank to your good self. I've been using both now for around 18 months and i don't have laughter lines and my marionette lines are fading fast. I have such faint 11s that its hard to say they are there. Im 53 so consider myself lucky to have found your video many moons ago just to help extend the mileage showing on my face. I always lock my skincare in with a good moisturiser, like putting a lid on something so it doesnt evaporate! Sorry to waffle on but these two little bottles are worth their weight in gold. Thanks again for all your help. With love xxx💖💖💖
I just happened across this video, I've never seen your channel before and whenever you said "let's just cut that waffle" I subscribed immediately. Love it.
that point about hyaluronic acid needing somewhere to draw moisture to hold onto is SO TRUE! i usually mist my face before applying any HA products and also make it a point to mist it one more time after applying everything non-oil based. this change has made all the difference
the argereline, matrixyl is a hardcore cocktail. I learned I had forhead lines when I stopped using it. looking at my friends are all getting older but this stuff is like youth crack . it IS runnier than water! love it. it is not bending time backwards like Botox but in a preventative way, my god I'm 34 with nary a wrinkle
Just a tip: In case people try argireline out and get a very bad skin reaction you need to use cortisol creme to heal your skin again.. i dont have sensitive skin or allergies but this one got My eye area skin puffy, red, dry and wrinkly.. looked like that 10 days after still so got the cortisol creme that fixed it back to normal…
I actually have been using this for couple months now and didn’t tell anyone my mum and Aunty actually said my skin was looking really healthy and good then I told them what I had been using and put them onto your channel xx
I apply a drop or two (per eye)on my ring finger and apply on my crows feet and frown lines by gently patting it down. I allow it to absorb really well like 3-5 min before applying the remainder of my skin care routine and I think it works so well. I do it twice a day (morning and night) and I have noticed a big difference and it does prolong in between Botox.
You’ve mentioned several times how the Argireline. + Matrixyl combo is superior to the Ordinary Buffet, but I’m wondering if you could do a video comparing the combo to the Ordinary Buffet with copper? I’m really curious about that. Great video!
On another note. I wish that companies wouldn't formulate every single product with niacinamide and HA. I don't need it in every step of my routine but it is difficult to get away from.
Its a cheap way to get a claim. I dont really experience a problem with the niacinemide though, with the products I use, but HA In literally everything is annoying.
I started laughing reading this bc I have to have carefully VERY carefully.. "this toner, this serum, this moisturi... OH CRAP oops niacinamide over load!" Or 18 layers of 'hydration' 😂
I bought some vacuum pump bottles on Amazon. I fill one 1/2 and 1/2 with argeriline and matryxl. Much less messy to apply than those crappy droppers. I accidentally knocked my dropper bottle into the sink one morning and the little glass dropper tube smashed. No more worries of that with the vacuum pumps. I use the mix day and night. I’m sure it’s helping with my lines.
Rob, I know I’m late to the party, but yes, I agree that using Ordinary’s Argereline extends the need for Botox. I only get the injections twice a year now bc of this product.
I use Argireline with the Ordinary Buffet for about two years now... :) I'm actually very satisfied and to be honest I love Buffet 😍 the concetration of peptides is maybe a little bit lower, but I still like having so many of them in one bottle. I microneedle my skin regularly after which I like to put hialuronic acid sheet mask and after that pat on a little bit of Buffet and Argireline🙃 and my fav moisturizer at the end (of course!)☺ Love the effects🥰 Greetings everyone 😉
Back in June I commented on one of your argireline videos because I added it to my routine the same a day as my Botox re-up. My personal experiment to see if it helped me go longer than 3 months without spending another chunk of $ on my face. Boys and girls..it has!!!! Botox 4 months old and still going strong. Thankyou for introducing me to this teeny miracle 😘
Love your info! My routine has been a Retinol at night and vitamin c in the mornings. I just bought the Argireline & matrixyl. I know we shouldn't use it with the vitamin c, but I am wondering if it's okay to use a Retinol after applying the two from the ordinary... then a moisturizer?
Hi I noticed you didn't get an answer and I happen to be an esthetician so I hope you don't mind me butting in. The answer is yes you can use retin a after thus combo.
@kgutridg not at the same time but you can use one in the morning and one at night. The azelaic acid shouldn't be used at the time as any other acids. I advice using the argireline/matrixyl at night with your retin a and azelaic acid in the morning. Don't use vitamin c, glycolic acid etc with the azelaic acid
Hi Rob! I've been using the argireline for 5 years now and I still love it. Never tried to mix it and use it all over the face but I will. My only issue with the solution is the texture cause I always hoped they changed it for a less liquidy one. Have a great day ☺️
Yay I am so so glad its been working so well for you hun .. I used to feel the same about the texture but I have kinda got used to it now which is odd lol.. love you xx
I actually mix my argireline with the buffet. I was already using the buffet when I came across this product & once I saw how watery it was I felt more comfortable mixing them. Seems to work well 😅
This REALLY really helps! It kind of has got ignored in the fridge because of not knowing how,why..you provided me the details that I was missing! Thank you!
Hi Rob, I’ve used both …thanks to your recommendations and love them . I put a few drops of Arginine in a little china dish and dab my finger in that…it saves it running everywhere and using to much product….I rinse the dish out…and do this morning & evening. ❤️
I have never tried The Ordinary brand Argiriline, but I have used Skin Deva's quite a bit. I don't find it miraculous; then again, I'm about to turn 70 in 2 weeks, so it's a lot different than being your age. I do love it though and I use it pretty regularly, especially on my nasal labial folds, my marionette lines and what I jokingly call my forehead crevasse.
How can I use this in a routine with niacinamide, azelaic acid, and tretinoin? I have still oily and acne prone skin but want anti aging anti wrinkling benefits from these two products.
Okay I didn’t read all the comments but I scrolled and didn’t see anyone complain about irritation. I know I’m not the only one it happens to, I’ve read many reviews on their site and Sephora. Many that have done the patch test with no issues and that like me- don’t have sensitive skin but when they put it around their eyes, skin was very irritated. I wish I could post a picture of my irritation on side of eyes. You are my favourite skin person from TH-cam so this is the first video I clicked after typing in the ordinary argireline, was hoping to get some answers to why this happens to some and not others. I’ve never had a problem with any product before. I use tretinoin and have accidentally mixed it with benzoyl peroxide a few times with no issues whatsoever, so why this stuff I wonder? Also was wondering if I keep going with it, wonder if irritation will eventually go away? Oh how I’d love to be getting the results everyone else gets
I'm glad you done this video today as I was about to order hyaluronic acid from The ordinary. Makes perfect sense how to apply. Now I'm going to watch the original video. Thanks for your videos. You always try to keep prices down and if not there's a good reason. I really trust your opinions and you explain everything well. Thank you!
What a great video! I have the Ordinary Argireline but never see results & stop using it. I will try targeting. I've gotten somewhat lazy, and I see the difference! Normally I'm diligent with my Tretinoin (Curology... Tretinoin 1.4, azelaic acid & niacinamide 5%) using it 2-3x a week at night and other products in-between. I've got to get back to a routine and DO it! 🙄. My biggest problem is around the mouth and cheek I slept on for years?! 🥴 I'm going to use your video(s) to inspire me to get back on track. Thanks for sharing 🤍
My favorite product! Especially this combo with Matryxil. My 11s are barely noticeable after 2 months, and they were deep! Love you and your channel so much!!!!
does it work on marrionette lines/nasolabial lines? i only have the right side visible probably cause i sleep on it so wonder if it would work on that.
Brilliant info thank you . I’m new to The ordinary. I do have the hyaluronic product and I do have Botox. To confirm… how would I incorporate these 2 with my hyaluronic ? OR get rid in place of these 2 ? Thanks
Hi hun, I have filmed this video in two parts recently which you can find on my channel and there is a morning and an evening skincare routine.. love x
These videos are always so helpful!! Always a thumbs up!! 🥰 And the targeted area advice is even more useful now when we're all trying to make most of our products last longer.
Hi Rob, I have ordered these today. My routine at present is am (all simple brand) cleanse purifying cleansing lotion, wash off, on damp face hyaluronic acid, let dry then vitamins c,e & f serum, then age resisting day cream then elf suntouchables. Pm cleanse micellar gel wash, on damp face hyaluronic acid, then vitamin B3 niacinamide, then age resting night cream. I do three days of this routine then on fourth day am routine same pm routine I apply the ordinary lactic acid 5%+HA then my usual night cream. Been using approx 8 wks and had great results. When I add these in can I do my usual routine (I understand these go on damp skin too) can I spray my face with water after application of these to continue as I have. Also use their hydrating eye gel in the mornings and soothing eye balm in the pm. I do 3:1:3 ratio. Thanks if you can reply 🙏🏻🥰
I just ordered those 2 products from The Ordinary and also purchased their Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA so--- I guess I was on the right track. I am glad however, that you mentioned using the Argireline first by dabbing on targeted area and then follow with the combo. That was new information for me. I need all the help I can get!!! (---:> Nice presentation.....I really had to listen carefully - you talk VERY fast. But well done!
I use my eye cream after applying them both around my eye area. Is that true I should use vitamin c or retinol in that are after using those products !?
Is it a waste of money to use Argireline, Buffet+copper peptides 1% and matrixyl 10% +HA together morning and night? I use them in that order. This is what the workers at The Ordinary recommended. Thanks!!
This product gave me more lines. I used it in the morning, went about my day, washed my face, did my nightly routine and woke up with more lines ONLY where I applied it. This product is not for everyone. I will stick to my Matrixyl
Before I watch. I am going to say how I use it and see if you think there is a better way. It is working for me. After I apply my other serum/peptide I dab a little on areas I need it. ( crowfeet, 11's , forehead and upper lips area ) been doing this for years. 🧡
Oh Rob, this was a wonderful video! Thank you for reminding us how to apply for maximum benefits. So often it is 'slap and dash' and out the door. Sending you plenty of love ~ Paula
Haha I must admit Paula I am totally guilty of the slap and dash approach sometimes lol.. hope your having the most wonderful week and sending you so so much love xxxxx
I am 34 yrs old and I use Vitamin C serum the Arguline and HA. I have very deep forehead wrinkles so what I'm getting from this video is I should just target the wrinkles with Arguline and wait to dry also I've noticed it has a tacky feel after rubbed in that's normal right? And in which order should I use my products?
Thanks for the information, just started using these two about a month ago! (Small feedback -- could you possibly please look into the camera rather than the monitor? Thank you!)
Do you have botox done ? I follow your advice , but I’m tempted to try botox for frown lines between eyes . It’s daunting tho . Love watching your TH-cam channel , excellent advice ❤️
I do Botox for my forehead, as my muscles causing the lines between my brows and on my forehead are VERY strong and stubborn, and even the Botox doesn’t fully get them to totally paralyze. I am going to be 55 at the end of May and am just beginning to get crow’s feet and lines under my eyes. I’ve been microneedle rolling (every other day), using the Argiriline serum mornings and evenings for a few weeks as my first serum before applying the resviritrol and matrixyl alternating which is layered on first. My skin appears more smooth and also has a glowing moisture to it all day. I do also cover and seal my serums with a combo of moisturizing gel and a lotion with a bottle of The Ordinary hyaluronic serum mixed into the whole container of the gel.
Well, I don't know what to think about The Ordinary products because In my experience I found none to be working properly except the Lactic Acid (which actually does exfoliate). More than 8 months with the Buffet (copper) : no visible results whatsoever. Their Hyaluronic Acid did cause me pimples, as well as Amino Acid... I'm a little scared now to try out some products ! But your review seems very honest and what you said about Argireline and Matrixyl together sounds worth a try ! Edit : I just checked and found that The Ordinary Matrixyl does contain castor oil... So, along with the "Buffet", I would not recommend it for acne-prone skin. I should use Argireline alone then...
I've been using the Matryxl first, letting it sit for a wee while, then going in with the argireline afterwards. Should I be mixing instead of layering?!?!
Ulta here in Tampa Bay has been sold out of the Argireline and Matrixyl. So I had to order a two months supply from Ulta online. I can't live with out it! I use the Argireline and then I'll do 20mins of Dr Dennis Gross LED mask, then I add the rest of my steps.
This combo is the single most effective skin care that I have ever tried. But! It's not necessary to use the Ordinary brand. I found a cheaper brand that contains both peptides. My "eleven" lines are almost non existent after using these peptides for 1 year. I find it more difficult to make certain expressions due to the neuro-modulator but that's okay with me because I don't want to look angry in my old age
Thanks for another really helpful video! I’ve used the Ordinary’s agireline before in a targeted way but never saw any results. I’m going to try it again with your tips and be more patient with it!
im much older 53 , i started this routine 6 months ago. some friends this summer asked if i had work done. i was like... what?no.! lol i shared my secret.

Hi I noticed you didn't get an answer and I happen to be an esthetician so I hope you don't mind me butting in. The answer is yes you can use retin a after thus combo.
@@lisaethridge666thanks for your answer! Can you also use it with azelaic acid?
@kgutridg not at the same time but you can use one in the morning and one at night. The azelaic acid shouldn't be used at the time as any other acids. I advice using the argireline/matrixyl at night with your retin a and azelaic acid in the morning. Don't use vitamin c, glycolic acid etc with the azelaic acid
@@lisaethridge666 thank you so much 🙏🫶🏻
@@RumiRose12 you are more than welcome!
I used to feel the same about the texture but I have kinda got used to it now which is odd lol.. love you xx
Bende sivilce yaptı sizde yapmadımi
Without mixing it with matrixyl? I don’t have matrixyl so wanted to know if we can just use argirline solution only and how ?
I actually mix my argireline with the buffet. I was already using the buffet when I came across this product & once I saw how watery it was I felt more comfortable mixing them. Seems to work well 😅
Me too! I use the Buffet w/copper, but first i apply the argireline on targeted areas. I wonder if this is a good combo?
This REALLY really helps! It kind of has got ignored in the fridge because of not knowing how,why..you provided me the details that I was missing! Thank you!
Hi Rob, I’ve used both …thanks to your recommendations and love them . I put a few drops of Arginine in a little china dish and dab my finger in that…it saves it running everywhere and using to much product….I rinse the dish out…and do this morning & evening. ❤️
Thank you so so much for sharing hun and love you x
I use the Ordinary B5 Before Argireline & Matrxyl, Azelic acid, Vit C, sunscreen. What sequence do you recommend I use? Thanks for the tips 🙌🏼
This is great information. Thank you for your TH-cam videos
!
Thank you so so much for sharing hun and love you x
does it work on marrionette lines/nasolabial lines? i only have the right side visible probably cause i sleep on it so wonder if it would work on that.
What a great result! What was your routine at the time? I’m currently thinking buying it for my mom and I’m scared to give her false hope
Brilliant info thank you . I’m new to The ordinary. I do have the hyaluronic product and I do have Botox. To confirm… how would I incorporate these 2 with my hyaluronic ? OR get rid in place of these 2 ? Thanks
Please make step by step skincareroutine video with your Favorits (azelaic azid, retinal,...)!
Hi hun, I have filmed this video in two parts recently which you can find on my channel and there is a morning and an evening skincare routine.. love x
I learned from you how to use this product and love it so much! Thank you!
These videos are always so helpful!! Always a thumbs up!! 🥰 And the targeted area advice is even more useful now when we're all trying to make most of our products last longer.
Thank you so so much hun and I hope all is amazing with you.. Loe you xxxxxx
This was very helpful! Thank you!!!
I am going to try this combination of serums. Thank you!
I watch all your video's about argireline, start using it thanks to you, I follow your user advise, works amazing
I just bought noth of these on your recommendation from your other video. I'm glad you made this one so I can know how to use it
Thank you!
i will finally gift these two my mother! and also a moisturizer. thanks :)
After seeing your superb video ,I am planning to buy this product. Please can you tell me if I can use it during day and night time ?
I have never liked the ordinary products I’ve tried but you might have just sold me on these lol.
Is it a waste of money to use Argireline, Buffet+copper peptides 1% and matrixyl 10% +HA together morning and night? I use them in that order.
This is what the workers at The Ordinary recommended.
Thanks!!
Ok
I use tretinoin at night
The ordinary copper peptides during the day
Can I use this in combo of these two ⬆️
And how
Thank you ❤️
Hi hun, you can indeed and they work well alongside both of those.. sending you lots of love xx
@@MadAboutSkin Thank you!
To be clear .. do I use morning or night ? Mix / layer With my products.. apply first or after ? Or at another time daily
Sounds like your doing it pretty correctly to me :) love you xx
@@MadAboutSkin ❤️ thank you . Much love
Thank you so much. After using these two products, do I need to dampen my skin with water before I apply hyaluronic acid?
Hi Rob , Hyaluronic doesn't suit me, if I use these two then plz suggest a good moisturizer for dry dehydrated skin
Thank you!)
Can we use Argireline solution without mixing with Matrixyl? I don’t have Matrixyl so want to know best way to use Argireline
Hi! can I combine Argireline and Matrixyl with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid in my routine?
Hi Rob and everyone. I want to know when I apply the Argerline targeted do I apply to damp skin or dry skin?
Can you mix these two products with skin ceuticals vitamin ce feurlic? Also when at night can it be used with retin a
Loved your video. I’ve been using argreline and matrixyl but not together. Do I use them before or after vit c
Thank you so much!❤ do either of these products have retinol in them?
Yes argireline is starting to work for me too, age 56. Would Paulas Choice multi peptides be good after it instead of matrixyl?
Hi Hun yes that would be a good alternative if you prefer it.. love x
Can you use retinol with this serum? I find retinol improves my skin but never really tackle those laugh lines under my eyes.
I've been using the Matryxl first, letting it sit for a wee while, then going in with the argireline afterwards. Should I be mixing instead of layering?!?!
I love the argireline solution. It extends the time in between dysport injections up to about 6 months.
Yay I am so so glad its working so well for you and sending you lots of love xx
Can you share which brand you use please?
@@valoak928 Asterwood Naturals. I found it on dermstore maybe? It's called Matrixyl 3000 + Argireline, also contains HA, very nice liquid consistency
I mix this with clarins night cream, matrixyl, vitamin C and ferulic acid all on my palm before applying on the face
Great video! Can you use this with vitamin C?
Hi hun, yes you can hun I do every time xx
You should make a video on Ialuset Hyaluronic Acid (french) I love it and it will forever be a staple in my routine. I will give the Argirline a whirl
Love your videos!
What moisturizer do you recommend tonuse after for sensitive skin?
How do you use this with a retinoid? Thanks.
Thanks for another really helpful video! I’ve used the Ordinary’s agireline before in a targeted way but never saw any results. I’m going to try it again with your tips and be more patient with it!
Thank you so much for watching and I hope you get results from it this time round.. love xx
Just discovered this channel. Outstanding!!! Thank you for being so specific and give so much info- will keep watching your videos
I ordered this recently keen for it to come
My mistake is not allowing it to dry before adding the matrixal. Thanks for the reminder!
Pleasure hun and sending love x
im much older 53 , i started this routine 6 months ago. some friends this summer asked if i had work done. i was like... what?no.! lol i shared my secret.
