Hi everyone! As my school year recently started and I have just been focusing on my academics, these two week's worth of uploads will simply be the piano-only version of my last video "The Origin of KitsuneMelodies". So as this week's upload is "Lit", next week will be "Departure!" from Hunter x Hunter. These 2 uploads will help me as I prepare for a new arrangement. Hope you can all understand and bear with me!
Some people have requested I post the piano-only version so that they could see the performance alone/ add it to their anime playlist. Well here it is, the piano-only video without the text slideshow below. I hope you all enjoy the video.
About the arrangment: (Sight-read + Improvised)
I don't usually practice for these rather "emotional" songs as I want to be as expressive as I can, (whether it'd be an arpeggio-filled LH, more tingly right hand, LH filled with 10ths, etc., I would improvise it on the spot). So I went ahead and basically just sight-read Theishter's version as it sounded more emotionally than the other arrangements I've heard. I intentionally made the LH arpeggios part of the chorus 2x faster than his version, simply because I wanted to vent my anger as well as express my confusion (As explained in the previous video). I also made this uncommon RH jump from 1:57-2:05 to express how separated I thought I was with the piano, but luckily the community was there to back me up and got me back into what I always had loved.
Lit is one of those songs where when the chorus rings, the melody just gets stuck in your head. This mellow yet ornament-filled song will always be one of my favourite background songs from an anime movie.
