For clarification, here are the stats, loadouts, and rules for my "solo boss rush" playthrough of the ps5 version: - No rewinding on bosses - No xp grinding or keeping characters dead to boost another - No expensive gear (legend casques, ultimate wargods, shields, etc.) - No hp, mp, or curing items - Only one character deals damage As an aside, additions were farmed on low and mid tier mobs. This meant some characters may be a level higher than normal progression would see. The Faust encounter was attempted after the Divine Dragon Spirit fight. Kongol's loadout was as follows: - Level 36 - Level 5 Bone Crush - Great Axe - Dragon Helm - Armor of Yore - Bandit's Shoes - Bandit's Ring

yep, a lot of players don't understand that your party has fair amount of turns if you don't attack Faust. You can boost your party carefully after every set of his attacks instead of desperately attacking him fearing that healing and boosting is a waste of turns
i have the team to beat Faust too... im forced to that team actually, because of a challenge. - no additions (even Dragoon additions and of course no Ultimate Wargod) though you can attack, but only with 1 hit. - Guard is only usable in boss fight. - no shops (buying Spirit and Golden Dragon Spirit does not count cause you are required to buy Spirits to unlock Faust and Golden Dragon Spirit is not important,) so your pretty much stuck with items from drops and chests. (sad... no DG armors) - party must consists of new (latest) characters, so in the end im stuck with Miranda (thank god) and Kongol (bad news- no weapons until Indora's Axe, good news - Kongol has the strongest 1-hit normal attack damage) - once you beat Faust - challenge is over. i mean if you want to bully bosses on the moon - go ahead. and beat Faust at level 40.
That is one hell of a run! For my self imposed challenge I did: - only one character can deal damage to the bosses. - no level grinding - party had to be the same level (some bosses dart was dead so the xp would balance out) - since I was not level boosting a character to op degrees, the rest of the party was ok to assist with items and healing - no help from expensive items like ultimate wargod, legend casque, shields, scarfs, armor etc. - the character designated as the one doing the "solo run" can not die...(this was proven to be the ultimate challenge because Faust does MASSIVE party damage at roughly 100% at 50% and 25% remaining hp. Therefore kongols damage had to be divided just right so that either a power up/down could be on him and faust or the magic shield item thrown on him. The only way that would work ended up being power up/down at 100%hp and squeezing magic shield in just right to block the 50% and 25% blows.
@@gravelordnito8384 really wish they just translated the japanese version, cause the enemy buffs and gold nerfs, make things fun. i did a low level Japanese version... it aint fun navigating the menus lol
What level were you? Also what equipment did you give Kongol? I noticed he got damaged from earth spells, so i suppose you didn't give him the gold armor.
Too true, team are using items, throwing out heals, and acting as extra targets for the boss to hit. True solo they would be lying there as corpse's the whole time :).

Gold Dragon Armor only sell in Moon, that mean Kongol is very risk member when fight with Faust and without legend casque too.
