Finally released! After so many ship repeats with a different palette, or ships that only existed for seconds on screen. The film may not had critical acclaim, but after all expected 'suspects' had been released, who was expecting the Scimitar maybe 70-100 issues ago...

Great review. Like the Son'a ship this is a much lighter paint scheme than expected and it doesn't highlight all the nice detail in the sculpt.

Nemesis got a lot of hate but is my favourite Star Trek film. Beautiful model shame its the wrong colour, should be really dark almost black and the other colours shouldn't be baby blue should be green

the blue is more the Tulwar variant (Star Trek Online) than the Scimitar variant

Great looking ship. I agree with you about the colour, I think it should be quite a bit darker. I also wish the wings were a little thicker, especially since it's supposed to be several arms folded together. Awesome review Irishtrekkie! Happy new year, I look forward to more reviews in 2020.

is much lighter than movie would been nice to have it slightly darker but been hoping for this ship for so long now im still very happy with it worth extra money not like the son'a ship coming soon wish that would be a standed issue. to go with this ship be nice to get XL valdoor class.

Star Trek Nemesis should have been an anime, maybe then we would have gotten a chance to care about Prator Shinzon and there could have been a whole episode that was just the Scimitar unfolding its wings. Tell me how that wouldn't be better

I see what you mean about it being a little too bright compared to the movie, but it was in space and had fewer lights than the Enterprise, so it might be accurate.
Oh, and "atypical" means different from the norm. :P

Against the black of space the ship would be dark. Discovery suffers from the same fate as that ship is shown to be near mirror silver satin sort of finish. That's why it looked so different over Pahvo and bronze in other environments. Too reflective in my opinion. The next generation ships are more opaque in their reflections to the point they end up being painted in matte grays often lol. Big differences.

I was rather disappointed with this. Yeah the detail is great but the wings just feel so frail. Matter of fac the whole model feels frail.

No. Scimitar special edition is 1:6742, E-E standard is 1:4680, which is nearly identical to E-D, Galaxy-X, Mirror Galaxy-X, Honshu, Phoenix, Melbourne, ect.
