Thank you, Marcie! You are not only serving your Seminary Class, you are serving us. You are teaching me how to make of my scriptures study a much more enjoyable experience! It is kind of difficult to me when I want to serve but the person does not want to be helped even when she/he needs it. Sometimes we think than being helped means we are weak, but by accepting help from others we are learning to be humble because it is God who is sending His servants to help us. He listens to our prayers and answers them by using our good brothers and sisters, our friends and our families!
Great comments, Ida. It's sooo hard to accept help. Maybe accepting help graciously is another way to serve. My great-aunt was always happy to see me and my children when she was in hospital and I'm sure she felt rotten. Her happiness helped my kids learn to serve. I've always thought that was a great service she gave to us.
