We used to have a few butter benches we made. We had an 10 inch 13 1/2 inch and the big one which was 18. The 13 1/2 was definitely the favorite. Perfect height for flip ins

I feel ya on the bearings. It bothers me when I hear my bearings whine like when you spin it and it just whines and stops. I've tried the cleaning kit but didn't have much success with that so I just buy reds and replace them as they go.

I bought 2 pairs of rictas this year. Clouds and sparx. They both malfunctioned either in the summer heat or from just skating regularly. The clouds sleeves popped out of the wheels making them wobble like crazy and unusable. The sparks basically wore inside to the point the bearings would easily fall out of them and it made them wobble and unusable. Maybe something with the wheels is why you have frequent bearing issues 🤷♂️ I haven’t skated your issue ricta wheels tho

Ayyy this is in my hood, I literally skate at this rink all the time! I need to get back to building that damn box so I can bring something there to actually skate besides flat, lol. The ground was better before, but the new pavement is solid. Not too sticky, not too slippery. Just wish it wasn’t sloped like it is, makes doing lines the one way so much harder (or maybe I’m just old 😂)

I’m 4 years into skating and I feel like my skate progression is slowing down. What’s a good way to practice at the park? I feel like I spend too much time skating the whole park
Funny how both of you were popping your tricks too late before the real commit (for the f heel tail 270 and flip over the bench). Relatable. I also notice that I'll bend my knees too early in the setup if I'm not confident with the trick, like I'm trying to push off the ground instead 'bouncing' off the ground. Timing!
My guess is you’re breaking bearings constantly because you swap them out one at a time. If you put them in all at the same time originally, and one breaks… I would assume the others are in about the same shape and will be breaking soon also. For me, I put in a new set. Usually when one breaks, it means the rest of the bearings are about to go also, one after another. So I swap them all out. Give the non broken ones to a skatepark kid. They won’t last very long but they won’t care

Learning how to late flip is how I managed to understand flip height. The earlier you flip after popping, the lower its gonna pop.
