how do you tension it btw. just from one side ? if you find a perfect middle you still need tension a line so you will loose your middle section. Yep this is definitely the hard part. But I’ve come up with some solutions for this. For example, if you start taping the line from the middle out, you can make sure that the backup tapes are spaced the same on either side of the trickzone (mirrored), so that you can simply count the backup loops to center the trickzone. Obviously you need to account for tensioning, so you have to allow for 5-10m to go into the weblock. All of this is a bit challenging in the beginning, but I’ve got it down pretty smoothly now.

Correct, weblocks on both sides allows the user to position the type X bartack in an optimal place (middle) for added safety.
