Great unboxing video! I ended up doing a board game swap and got the entire Tokaido collection and I am really excited to get it to the table. I have a question, though, and was wondering if you could assist. My panarama cards, the location cards, are a different material than the rest of the cards in the entire collection. They are more like the material of the pages of the rule book, very flimsy and a shiny page material, and not like the card stock the other cards are. Are your panarama cards like mine, or are they the same as all your other cards?
Thank you for your question. I've looked at my copy and as far as I can tell, my panorama cards are the same material as the rest of them. It could be possible that the reason for the difference in material for the cards in your copy is that you may have received an earlier edition of the game. The copy that I have is the 5th edition, as this game has been reprinted multiple times since it's release over the years. Could it be possible that you've received the 2012 edition as Funforge (the publisher) may have had limited access to the card stock at that time. Keep in mind that's just a guess on my end so take what I say with a spoon of salt. Hopefully, I was able to answer as best as I can. Thank you again for your question.
@leunamegames , very interesting, and that definitely can be a possibility. Everything else looks legit in the game, metal coins, minatures, CD, and the expansions, and all the cards are the same card stock. It's just those panarama cards being paper thin. I also have 63 panarama cards, which is funny. I have the 5 sets of each location as normal, but the farmer countryside set has 6 sets instead of 5, hahaha. I appreciate you looking into this! I might see if I can reach out to FunForge and see if I can get the updated style of cards to match the rest, but if not, I'll just sleeve them to protect then. Thanks again!
