From a Cowboys fan to a Redskins fan, great job with this video. I always appreciate the level of detail. Amari Cooper definitely stretched the field for Dallas. Like you said, before the trade, defenses were just stacking the box against Dallas and disrespecting Dak. I could not believe how much of an impact trading for one receiver made.
It's not to surprising when Prescott had Dez his numbers were alot better even if Dez was in a decline. The other team had to account for him because if you left him 1 on 1 Dez would kill you. And that unturned helped Elliott run with the number advantage in the box. Dez gets cut and Elliott is staring at 8 in the box and on occasion 9 or 10 depending on the situation. And his numbers along with the entire offense slumping.
The trade for Cooper was Dallas admitting that they cut Dez prematurely and if they wanted a team to compete they had to get one before the trade deadline. With Cooper everyone's production is up because they can't stack the box no more.
I've always wanted to get into analyzing film for football and whatnot, as I have a general idea as to what is going on but don't know much about the specifics. These videos are helping give me a more complex understanding of football and I love it, keep it up!
I don't remember what week it was from (wasn't THAT long ago), but I recall reading a FO article that said that DAL 's offensive DVOA was actually slightly LOWER in the games with Cooper. (Cooper's was good, other players just became less efficient). It's funny how things play out in the NFL.
What dez lacked amari cooper has quick feet (stop and start) speed and great route running. What's so important is he can make up for passes that are a little off because of his feet and speed
If cooper getting less separation with the Cowboys, how is he more productive in this offense? In my opinion you can boil it down to two major points: 1: Derek Carr 2: Gruden
coolrunning2006 Coop wasn’t getting the ball enough before Jon Gruden even joined the raiders. U can blame Musgrave and first year Todd Downing in 2017. Gruden got the downfall of Coop in Oakland. Also Carr doesn’t utilize burners like coop, especially since he was dropping a league leading passes. Coop needed a change and he got it. Carr uses his tight ends, slot receivers and possessive/contesting receivers. James Jones, Devante Adams, Micheal Crabtree...etc. Coop lost confidence, and so did Carr, and so did the play calling towards him. So...you can debate that it’s Carr’s and Gruden’s, but it’s always about the entire system as a whole and recent performance that dictates what’ll happen. Luckily coop gotta a change, his my fav WR. This will most likely impact openings for Zeke in the open field.
Samuel Gold Excellent point ppl are paying more attention to him.I want to see what he does next season when the whole league starts concentrating on him this will mean as you said his teammates will have to step up.
The defense has to concentrate on Ezekiel. Amari Cooper will continue to get great looks, him and Dak just need to execute which in turn with be a potent balanced offense.
was watching film of Amari cooper with the raiders & he was getting open like he is with the cowboys, Carr seems to like to throw check downs to players not as good as cooper
Wow that post he quit on was bad lol. Looked like he had a step on all 3 of the DBs in on that play. I think in general teams overvalue draft picks. Dallas didn’t grab a wr high enough in the draft and was lookin for one. Doesn’t seem like any are elite coming out this year and the free agency for WR is lackin. So giving up a first dot a pro bowler imo never seemed like too much. They would hope to draft a wr of his caliber w/ their first pick. Why not forget hoping a wr turns into Amari w/ that pick and just trade it for an established #1? The money is the only thing but you’d have to pay your wr you drafted if he planned out anyways. Even if they didn’t win the division, I think long term having a #1 long term made the trade worth it. It may have ended up costing them more tho w/ Dak and saving Garret’s job who actually may not deserve it. Resigning Dak got more expensive now that Coop is there.
Raiders are rebuilding to Gruden's system, Cowboys (more like jerry) are desperate to prove Dak's is their QB. Both are somehow reasonable if you look through the immediate results. Great analysis as always, can a sub request how the Colts came back from 1-5 to being the biggest darkhorse in the NFC ?
I love cooper and I think the cowboys made a good decision, but if you look at his numbers against teams with strong CB1’s, they are much less than against weaker secondary’s eg the eagles. Could this impact Dallas’ offensive production during the playoffs if dak isn’t able to rely on him as much in sticky coverage?
If you actually look at just this year alone. While cooper was with the raider he consistently beat elite CB with about 3 yard separations. Derek carr just refuse to throw him the ball.
They actually started 3-4 before they traded for Cooper in Week 8. In their Week 9 loss (their 5th loss of the season) vs the Titans, they had Cooper on the roster.
MC GB what? Tyron Smith has been struggling with injury. Zack Martin as well, but he is still killing it. Frederick is out. Looney is a solid player at Center but nowhere near pro bowl caliber, hell hes barely starter status. Lael is inconsistent. Connor is too inexperienced, and Xua Filo lacks technique. This causes issues in both the run and pass game, sacks will be expected. Dak is still young so he will hold the ball for a bit too long. Mix these two things - sack city for a solid D Line.
MC GB you said lineman. Linehan is bad. His plays are painfully predictable and scripted. Every defense in the NFL knows the cowboys formula due to his lack of creativity. Coaching can completely turn a losing team around - just look at the Rams.
MC GB his play calling relies on elite players? That means it’s the soldiers carrying the general to victory, and not the general providing a winning battle plan. There are countless examples, in football alone, where elite players have to carry the team regardless of how bad the coaching is.
Bmo Mgrimm even though the eagles were basically playing with practice squad players their corners weren’t absolute garbage especially the one who gave up the game winning td to cooper had a really good game
Gonna miss these dope analysis videos in the offseason
Who says they're stopping in the off-season! Got plans for them all year long :)
He's a great route runner especially with his release at the line

Thanks mate, appreciate it! As you said, it's not even Amari's receptions that make him good. It's his effect on everybody else too.
It's not to surprising when Prescott had Dez his numbers were alot better even if Dez was in a decline. The other team had to account for him because if you left him 1 on 1 Dez would kill you. Simply excellent film breakdown and explanatory narratives. Easily the best i've seen on youTubes thus far. Thanks (:
The great thing about this is that he is 24 years old!!! so much more room to grow

Awesome breakdown of Amari Cooper’s impact in DAL
Finally someone explained this !!! I was waiting for it love Coop
Glad he’s doing better. Gonna miss him in Oakland. Go do big things big bro
Migg If they make it to the SUPER BOWL he needs a raise!!!!! And this coming from a devout Steelers fan
What dez lacked amari cooper has quick feet (stop and start) speed and great route running. What's so important is he can make up for passes that are a little off because of his feet and speed
Exactly, Dez was never a route technician and lacked the speed and quickness Coop has
Well the reason why he gave up on that deep route in week 3 was because he was triple covered and he thought no way it would go to him.

i know no one likes the bengals but id like to see a joe mixon one. most rushing yards in AFC regular season. he gets no appreciation
ben bradbury because he’s on the bengals
The best thing to happen for cooper career
Happy New Years. Will you do an analysis on the bears?
Great film session!!
Nice vid. We love Cooper!!!💪 Go Cowboys!
Such solid content
he's the best route runner in the league
3:28 - where was the Redskin FS #20 going? Cooper already broke it inside, why is he still heading to the sideline?
He's bad (really bad).
chuck430 scripted.
Samuel Gold was that ha ha
@@booker4984 looking at their roster, it was
All he could think of was concussing whoever was running in the flat

The league already know about cooper from 2016 they would be a fool to sleep on him he's just that good. Coming from a Raider fan
was watching film of Amari cooper with the raiders & he was getting open like he is with the cowboys, Carr seems to like to throw check downs to players not as good as cooper
Of the last 19 receivers picked in the first round, only Amari Cooper has made the Pro Bowl.
I think Amari Cooper is an INFP or INFJ. That could explain why there's a lack of focus. We're always in our heads haha. But he definitely is a beast.
what is INFP or INFJ. Thanks!
Damn that was a great video
Great breakdown.
Poor against press cov can't be stressed enough, Denver DB's used to beat the shit outta him on the los.

Can you do film study on the saints and eagles, why the eagles couldn't score at all in 3 quarters thanks
Please do one on dhop🙏🏽
And don't forget Michael Gallup. He's gonna be a good one!
My only question is how do we get more REDZONE touchdowns?????
I love cooper and I think the cowboys made a good decision, but if you look at his numbers against teams with strong CB1’s, they are much less than against weaker secondary’s eg the eagles. Could this impact Dallas’ offensive production during the playoffs if dak isn’t able to rely on him as much in sticky coverage?
Callan Turner well it’s not just being against CB1. He’s usually doubled so it’s harder to get open
If you actually look at just this year alone. While cooper was with the raider he consistently beat elite CB with about 3 yard separations. Derek carr just refuse to throw him the ball.
4:12 he ran a what route?
Adhy Nugroho dig
Can you do a break down on juju smith schuster
What other quarterbacks are one good receiver away from not looking so bad?
iurhviusdfavhi Nathan peterman
1st rounder for this guy at 24 years, with good experience old is a bargain
I agree
So what this means is Cooper is a better receiver than Bryant, hands down.
therealrickytan They are both good in respective areas. Cooper is more similar to AB and Dez is similar to Julio Jones
@@cosmicbro1973 eh you can’t compare Dez to Julio because can run all the routes and is faster and quicker than Dez
Cowboys or Seahawks?
I see samuel gold. I click. Hes film daddy.
Positive comment

Jason Garrett could clap twice as much so it made them better

Maybe the Eagles defense was just so bad it made him look unstoppable.
Bmo Mgrimm even though the eagles were basically playing with practice squad players their corners weren’t absolute garbage especially the one who gave up the game winning td to cooper had a really good game
Does a video need to be made on how good players make teams more successful? Lol
kaioken yes because the fans were giving the cowboys tons of outlash for trading a 1st rounder for him . To answer your question yes. Lol
Bring back Dez
It would make sense to bring him back now since he won't be there num 1 wr
@@nate986 Dez would be a possession guy of course.Something I always say about him I never thought he was a deep threat in his early years.
@Well Drive Excuse me I forgot about that yes he is finished as NFL player
Dwight Love he’s not finished yet. He has the third best QB to throw to him next year. If he gets injured again then it’s a rip
@@kingofgrim4761 That injury is no joke if he makes a comeback he will be Comeback player of the year.
