Absolutely beautiful performance, Erika always gives a beautiful performance but this one has to be my favorite just from the aesthetic alone. She's stunning 💕

A wonderful performance from the beautiful Hungarian artist.. A sportswoman turned coloratura soprano :) Excellent. Coloratura soprano arias are really exhausting, hard work.

The make up is Chinese opera style…even the flags behind her is taken from the style of Chinese opera.

this tempo is slower so she struggled a bit. But her English language sounded really good.

AstriaICOW James Levine has always conducted this aria a little on the slow side.

I think that as this is an English translation, it may have been slowed down to allow the pronunciation to be clear

Perhaps, but you probably know that at one time opera was routinely sung in the language of the country it was performed in. Still, there were exceptions. As Edith Wharton writes in "The Age of Innocence," in reference to a performance of "Faust" in New York (I'm paraphrasing): "how else should an opera based on a German book by a French Composer in an English-speaking country be performed, but in Italian?"

Ferenc Dobak It is truly a pity to think so. I know that the original German libretto is great, but the English version also has its own charm.

Wer des Deutschen nicht mächtig ist, sollte nicht Mozart singen!😐

This particular production was meant for children, so that's probably why they did it in English.
