I have been making only instrumental covers for fun as a hobby for last 8+ years now and your are right about building one's own brand though no revenue is generated. For example, I spend time decoding chord progression of any song I do and post the chords and sometime detailed harmonica numeric notations too for the song. Now people have come to expect that of me and ask me for chords or notes every now and then. Keep on shining....

(with not much hits on youtube, so its a loss from adwords revenue),
During my film edit in one production studio I asked why these kids get songs made, and got the answer - 'its actually portfolio for Live Shows, whic they can whatsapp to potential query and make a small brand image...'

I'm a new subscriber to your channel and watched almost all of your videos. Please do guide some youtube channels for tutorial videos of all kind of DAWS. I personally use Ableton Live 9 and since I'm a newbie I find it kinda difficult cuz there are plathora of features and technique I'm not aware about.
