    I have the Samsung Freestyle. Bought it on sale for $799 AUD. It's on a gorillapod middle of the bedhead and honestly, best purchase in a long time. Especially when space is limited. The picture quality is great and sound is more than we could ask for, I never go over 20. Samsung TV Plus is also a nice bonus. Of course, I don't use it during the day for obvious reasons.

    Great selections. Projectors have come a long way.
    You should do a series of short throws.

  • @overnightclassic2
    @overnightclassic2 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

    One thing to keep in mind is price. These are "portable" projectors so the value for money is really not good. If you look at the ef12 for example you can get the EF 11 which is $500 refurbished and has the same image quality. You can buy the $20 onn android streaming box and then get speakers separately. You can get an arguably better setup.

    • @fhh4397
      @fhh4397 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This misses the point of portability. Some people are looking for something to use in multiple rooms at home, at friends' houses, and on trips. Image quality is still of course a factor, but so is viewing angle and how much room you need to make to pack the thing up.
      Personally, I would use external speakers at home, but on a trip or at a friend's place that might not be an option.

    • @overnightclassic2
      @overnightclassic2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fhh4397 the ef11 has built in speakers. Not good but they are there. At a friend's place? Surely they have a bluetooth speaker. Otherwise get a bag, a bluetooth speaker and a streaming box. Barely takes up any more room and only thing you need is an outlet.

    • @fhh4397
      @fhh4397 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@overnightclassic2 When you show up at a friend's place, there's no guarantee that they have a bluetooth speaker that is both good and currently charged. You might not always want to take that much stuff with you, either.
      Regardless, my point is that some people would pay more money to not have to worry about those issues.
      If the increased portability isn't a big help, then I 100% agree the same amount of money could/should be spent on a projector with higher image quality.

    • @overnightclassic2
      @overnightclassic2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@fhh4397 that's true but the epson ef11 is tiny. A speaker, a power strip, etc. is not that much extra stuff. Even just PC speakers like a 2.1 setup would sound better like a $100 klipsch promedia 2.1
      The problem with the android based projectors is you get 50ms additional input lag. That's why I prefer to not have android at all because I get an added benefit for gaming in the future

    Nice video!. Personally I find judging a projector on its sound is like rating an AVR on it's LCD display, and to a lesser degree it's Smart functions which I would bypass (to avoid processor lag / adverts) with a Shield Pro or some sort of HDMI stick.

    Look into ANSI in term of brightness specs for projectors, you are confusing ANSI and lumens(some companies avoid putting ANSI on spec sometimes like what Samsung did here, their ANSI would be 200-ish).

      @@marshinz5696 For the price of a nebula solar ($500) you can buy a refurbished epson ef11. It's literally the same projector as the ef12 minus the speakers and android interface. A much better deal
      If you don't need portable at all you can get a better value for money from refurbished bulb projectors.

    The most important features that I would like to, is that it should be able to project a small screen down to 35-50 Inches and also
    to show clearly text, so that one could use it to read a lot of text on the web. I will be waiting for your reply...
