Rooting for BSU’s team, they average 80th recruiting class every year and they’re constantly in the top 25 and beaten countless teams when given the opportunity, it’s not a secret anymore that there’s something in the water at Boise State.
Ashton could go off in carry teams in the national championship…. And he’s going to have a chance to prove he’s the best player in college football history not just this year if he does this

What no one is talking about is- If Texas beats Georgia in the Natty (which is a possibility) it will be CFB Armageddon, after UGA has already beaten them TWICE this season. Go Dawgs!

Nah. Because anybody intellectually honest knows the refs helped GA stay in that game 5 times. Not to mention the two missed fieldgoals. Anybody intellectually honest knows TX outplayed GA, and GA stole that game. So no, it is a pathetic preemptive cope, acting like you know GA is an inferior team to Texas, and a third showdown for all the marbles will not go in GA favor. All that matters now is the NATTY. It's the only thing worth anything this season. Especially considering the way the refs helped GA in the SEC "Championship" game. Lets keep it a buck and maintain intellectual integrity.

@@drew7155lmao number 1, Texas ain’t making it all the way. They had to show up TWICE this entire season since UGA was the only good team they played, and they got shit on TWICE. I know damn well you’re not talking about refs when UGA went through what they did in Austin with those obviously paid off refs, didn’t matter anyway still got waxed at your own field. Back up QB comes in cold off the bench with about 40 passes in his entire career, all of which were garbage time, and leads a come back with his legs and 12/16 passing. Texas fans just can’t get over that they’re just not that good and won’t be cut out for the SEC when they start having to play the better side of it. Your comment is just wrong all the way around 😂

@@tobyorcutt8500 talk to the Vegas odds makers. They’ve got UGA and Oregon favored to be in the Natty.
But instead of reading my initial post and understanding the point I was trying to make, all you did was show your disdain for Georgia.
So let’s try this one more time- Toby, in your infinite wisdom, what do you think the fallout would be if Georgia (who has already beaten Texas twice this season; an unprecedented feat) lost to Texas in the Natty?
Take just a moment to imagine- regardless of who the teams are- a scenario in college football where Team A beats Team B once on Team B’s home field and then again in a conference championship game…but then Team A beats Team B in a third game for the Natty.
In other sports it is not uncommon for teams to face each other multiple times in a season and then in a championship, but in college football that historically does not happen- at least not THREE games.
I believe there would be massive fallout.
      - I believe that half the country would scream for a split national championship. After all, 2/3 is greater than 1/3, right?
      - And I also believe that, in part, these teams were ranked and seeded intentionally so that the ONLY way it could happen is if Texas gets to the Natty.
-Because going into the 12 team format this scenario was their single biggest fear. You want to all about changes to the playoffs? The CFP would be forced to put in some sort of rule/change that prohibited the possibility of it happening again. Right now the CFP are praying it doesn’t happen. And let’s look at it from a different perspective- let’s say that Georgia beat Texas for a third time in the Natty, then people would be barking how Texas should have never been given a third chance. It is a no win scenario.
Do you now understand the point I was making? Regardless of who the teams are, if UGA and TX played for a 3rd time, it would create massive chaos in the 12 team playoff format’s very first year.
I’m not bringing this up because it’s Georgia. I’m bringing this up for the sanctity of CFB.

@ pardon me for throwing a little shade. I thought that’s what the Internet was for 🤷. However, going along with your “thought experiment“, who the hell cares? Personally, if they are going to have a large tournament at the end of the year, I think they should do away with conference championships and quite possibly even conferences. This way they could play a lot more intersectional rivalries and have more games like Ohio State, LSU and Alabama Michigan during the regular season without as much consequence. I think they should go to a 16 team format and do away with the first round BYE 🤷.
Just think, this year, Alabama, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Miami would have all been in the field under a 16 team format. 🤔
Of course, then people would just complain about where they get seeded🤦🏼‍♂️
In the unlikely event that Texas/Georgia happens, no one outside of the SEC really cares which way that would turn out. It would be a “shit happens“ scenario.
I’m probably going to cross my fingers and hope something like that happens on the professional level. I am a Denver Broncos fan and when Kansas City beats us on the last week of the season, I’m going to hope we win a third matchup in the divisional round of the playoffs and get to the AFC championship game.
Everybody’s going to have to get used to college sports being a de facto minor leagues for the NFL where SHIT definitely happens. 😆.
Just enjoy the tournament and stop worrying so much about crazy stuff that hasn’t happened yet, you’re starting to sound like my wife 🤭😉

Obviously they have the worst record and that’s why they are the 12th seed. The teams that are out didn’t even have an opportunity to play in their conference Championship game…and before you say Miami had to lose for Clemson to make it to the ACC championship game just remember that the only way any team make it to a conference championship is because other teams in that conference lost to many conference games. Yooo Georgia IS in a good spot but they aren’t capitalizing on it. Tech & Umass ran over them for more than 200yds! They needed 8 ots and help from the refs to beat Tech! They demonstrated stopping the run is a major issue. They are running into a team that averages over 6 ypc, and 40 tds on 428 carries. Thats a rushing td every 10 touches!! If Umass and Tech can give them fits let’s see how they handle a rushing attack and line like ND. Everyone that’s so quick to slobber on UGA must have forgotten they aren’t the same team as previous years and neither is ND.

You do not make your own schedule, it’s like the NFL where you play teams based on last years finish and it rotates through conferences. Only power conference teams are eligible for the playoff. @@JoshWilson1995 The complaint of the playoff was that teams that literally played each other in their season got a chance for a rematch in the championship game which left other people out of even having a shot. I'm a big10 fan and I thought it was ridiculous that Ohio state had a chance in the CFP after already losing to Michigan. I don't think Georgia and Bama should have been invited to the same playoff after they already played each other and one of them won. That was a huge complaint against the 4 team playoff.
HOWEVER, the concession of the 12 team playoff was that they made a way for there to be some variability and have fresh blood in the mix. once and for all they can prove if the SEC is the best or if they've just been propped up by perception. That was the point of this whole thing, and it was supposed to shake out that the best teams would be in the mix. But this year has been utter chaos so that just goes out the window.
I'm sure it will change within 2 years only because it takes time. But by the rules they laid out the picks they made make sense. Even if it sucks, I'm not arguing that point at all.
