The tide always turns , us buckeye fans have been saying the same thing for the previous 25 years …. Like literally Ohio state fans were having this same conversation in 2010
After the first couple games, people were complaining that you can’t win with no forward pass. You can’t win with under 100 yards passing. Welp, it appears you can.
Will Johnson is great, but we have to stop referring to him as the clear-cut best player on our defense. Mason Graham deserves some recognition. He's by far the more valuable to our defense too.
I feel like this game is revenge for our 2016 seniors. No mercy. JT was short. Hearing ohio boo their own players at home is the sweetest sound. Time for some Sweet Caroline!
This rivalry is far from dead. If we were out there winning by 20+ for the next 5 years.. it still won’t die. This thing will be hot as long as football is played. THE GAME!
As a Michigan fan, I asked my 7 year old son what he thought would be the outcome of the game. I thought he would say Michigan will win. But no only thing he said they are going are going to fight.
In my eyes, we won back-to-back national championships. It almost feels the same I swear lol. Not that 7-5 is ever acceptable-don't get me wrong. But considering everything we lost, coaching staff, no Will or Colston, no quarterback, avg O-Line, everything, if there was ever a year where losing five games was understandable, it was this one, especially with that gauntlet of a schedule. But to beat them this year? It was one of the best feelings I've ever had as a lifelong Michigan fan. I still can't believe it. Once i settled down after the win, I literally just sat back in my chair and couldn't stop laughing up in disbelief. It was one of the funniest things to watch lmao. I've re-watched the game 5 times already. All that talk, that barking, that fake toughness, the $20 million, the cheating-blah, blah, blah-and you still lost to a team that doesn’t even have the forward pass in their offense! 62 yards passing on the game, 2 interceptions! Sending the seniors out that way? It's the best feeling in the world. Them coming out to fight after...just the cherry on top lmfaooo! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ryan Day is the definition of a beta!
It was dead when Ohio State smoked Michigan for 15 years. It got revived recently and now I’d say it’s back in full force. The only thing that’s for sure dead is Michigan as a title contender 😂
Huge Michigan fan here, let's not be brash. It's just our turn to run the table. Tressel/Urban gave us nightmares for 15 years. Now, I will say that UM was down most of those years with Rich Rod and Hoke, but OSU has been ranked #2 in each game since 2021.
It's a fun game, but only that. Another fun reg. season gm. And it's only a big deal when one team, or better yet, BOTH teams have something on the line. UM fans really enjoying their winning streak, been a minute for that fanbase.
It’s funny how this rivalry never goes back and forth year to year. One or the other goes on long winning streaks. These 2 programs and fanbase’s hate each other too much for it to die. Taylor is just adding gas to the fire by saying this. Go Blue
This Rivalry is Never Dead! I’m from Detroit and Maize & Blue Forever, but my father is from Ohio! I know how they think & feel! Being on 3rd base ain’t making it home! They will stop at nothing to beat Michigan!!!
Over like The last 30 years OSU has won 19/30 matchups. Rivalry isn’t dead Michigan is just having their streak again…rivalry isn’t dead if anything it’s fun again.
What is even if I knew they were going to pass for 62 yd and 2 interceptions? I definitely would have thought they were going to lose, but I never thought michigan's defense would give up fifty two so I don't quite get the correlation
We put belt to ahh for years besides this last 5 years growing up I never thought we could lose to them that was never a game I cared for thanks to y’all for stepping up y’all made it a rivalry again and Ohio state will keep it
When to you grow up besides 2008-2010 the awful Rich Rod years it was close games.. 2011 Mich 40 Ohio St 34 2012 OSU 26 Mich 21 (HT-UM 21 OSU 20) 2013 OSU 42 Mich 41 (Mich 2 PT Att for the Win Failed) 2014 OSU 42 Mich 28 2015 #8 OSU 42 #10 Mich 13 (HT 14-10) 2016 #2 OSU 30 #3 Mich 27 2OT (AI program using 16 camera angles said JT Barrett was short. 2017 OSU 31 Mich 20 (Mich 20-17 in 4th QTR) 2018 #10 OSU 62 #4 Mich 39 (Mich was the favorite & it was 24-19 at Half. OSU blocked Punt changed the rest of the game. Michigan had 28 1st Downs & 457 Yards which is better than any 4 of the Wins this decade. OSU found a weakness in Mich D which was ranked #1.)
Honestly Michigan revived it. Before them going 4-0 UM was 2-17 against the Buckeyes in the 21st Century. Kind of needed to get a beat down to make it worth watching again.
Yes and no. It means a lot that my 6-5 wolverines upset the #2 team, cost our rival a first round bye and big ten championship, but it sucks they can now “at least we made the playoffs.” Last 3 seasons both teams playoff hopes were on the line
New to the channel so apologies on not knowing names, OSU fan saying "Only four in a row compared to Eight..." We live in the present, not the past. As the Michigan player said "Not this decade", but if ya wanna stay in the past, Michigan still holds the longest win streak at Nine, so in short, get bent nerd. On a side note, Still hold the largest victory 86-0 too. AND Michigan leads the series 62-51-6, which one OSU game that was won in 2010 was vacated so it doesn't count toward the record.
It's not even close to dead... what a stupid take. I've been a Michigan for for 35 years... it was close to dead when Urban was kicking our teeth in for almost a decade straight. What happened? Michigan got mad... got a real coach... got a ton of talent and finally started winning. The embarrassment re-lit a fire that needed lit and the same exact thing will happen in Columbus. Like that Ohio State team isn't gonna be stacked again next year? I get it... we "should" have a pretty good team but we're also relying a TON on the arm of an incoming freshman who's never played a down of CFB. Guarantee Ohio State will have more talent and will be ranked higher pre season. This rivalry has level ground now and honestly I think it will be a back and forth war for the next several years. The rivalry is actually as alive as it's ever been.
I promise you all that as long as Cryan Day doesn't get blown out by a bad team in the playoff, he will not get fired. He's most likely gonna win that first playoff game at home against one of the weaker teams.
how could Taylor Lewan pretend that he doesnt know who Jason Avant was? He graduated frum UM just 6 years of Lewan. He would have heard his name at some point when he was in Ann Arbor, and probably met him. Avant was probably playing in Super Bowl then
Love how OSU's win streak was against the worst Michigan teams, and Michigan's win streak is against the best OSU teams. OSU may never beat Michigan again.
Yeah bc 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019 were all made up years where nothing happened and Michigan totally wasn’t a top-20 team in ANY of those years.. I forgot🤡

The tide always turns , us buckeye fans have been saying the same thing for the previous 25 years …. Like literally Ohio state fans were having this same conversation in 2010
Next year's intro hype video just got some new material 🔥🔥🔥
After the first couple games, people were complaining that you can’t win with no forward pass. You can’t win with under 100 yards passing. Welp, it appears you can.
They’ve won 8 straight when throwing for less than 100 yards going back to 2015.
You’re right on Sawyer. Good on him. As a Michigan man I’ll take him hunting. You also. Got it keeping in going for the good guys
Lewan is a fool for saying that.
WILL NEVER DIE as long as both schools have football programs.
Taylor was a star at Michigan and he's 100% right on his take of the game! Go Blue!
Taylor, did you just say, who's Jason Avant?? What???? Cmon!!!
Taylor Lewan loves this game-no way does he ever want “The Game” to not be played. Tradition is tradition. Also, streaks come and go.
The best Michigan win I've seen in my lifetime.
Taylor not knowing avant- messed me up lol
Don’t Taylor, it’s not dead till we win 9 straight, it’s also never dead other than the fact that it doesn’t knock one of us out anymore sadly
Ohio State won 16 of 17 before Michigan won the last 4. This streak has revived the rivalry
Would Ryan Day come on the show???
Jack 0-4yer
😂😂😂
Nice, 0-4 in HS against his school's rival too. Gotta sting, and I love it
It was dead when Ohio State smoked Michigan for 15 years. It got revived recently and now I’d say it’s back in full force. The only thing that’s for sure dead is Michigan as a title contender 😂
Yeah right .....the only thing....😅
This feeling is effing amazing. Go Blue!
The CFP expansion definitely brings the stakes of The Game way down.
The same can be said of college football in general, honestly
Reminder, Taylor Lewan is 1-3 against the Buckeyes. Rivalry isn’t dead.
Over like
The last 30 years OSU has won 19/30 matchups. Rivalry isn’t dead Michigan is just having their streak again…rivalry isn’t dead if anything it’s fun again.
Ryan day watching the fight is like tom Hanks in saving private Ryan when they land on normandy beach and see everyone dying
Taylor Lewan is a Michigan GOAT
What is even if I knew they were going to pass for 62 yd and 2 interceptions? I definitely would have thought they were going to lose, but I never thought michigan's defense would give up fifty two so I don't quite get the correlation
We put belt to ahh for years besides this last 5 years growing up I never thought we could lose to them that was never a game I cared for thanks to y’all for stepping up y’all made it a rivalry again and Ohio state will keep it
When to you grow up besides 2008-2010 the awful Rich Rod years it was close games..
2011 Mich 40 Ohio St 34
2012 OSU 26 Mich 21 (HT-UM 21 OSU 20)
2013 OSU 42 Mich 41 (Mich 2 PT Att for the Win Failed)
2014 OSU 42 Mich 28
2015 #8 OSU 42 #10 Mich 13 (HT 14-10)
2016 #2 OSU 30 #3 Mich 27 2OT (AI program using 16 camera angles said JT Barrett was short.
2017 OSU 31 Mich 20 (Mich 20-17 in 4th QTR)
2018 #10 OSU 62 #4 Mich 39 (Mich was the favorite & it was 24-19 at Half.
John Cooper was the coach that got fired because he couldn't beat Michigan.
Yes and no. It means a lot that my 6-5 wolverines upset the #2 team, cost our rival a first round bye and big ten championship, but it sucks they can now “at least we made the playoffs.” Last 3 seasons both teams playoff hopes were on the line
lol what? Bro we smacked you 8 years in a row
?????????
The rivalry is more spicy than ever. Ohio State does need to make a change though.
OSU won 17 out of 19 games from 2001-2019 and the rivalry wasn’t dead. Michigan winning 4 in a row certainly doesn’t end the rivalry.
The fight after the game says otherwise
Never underestimate the power of denial.
Will Howard got rocked and was shook....that's why they probably didnt pass..........he was throwing interceptions.
They love devaluing wins of teams who aren’t this year’s darlings.
2021 was the best win 2024 was the funniest win😂
I'm not satisfied til we win 8 or 9 in a row! I'm HAPPY....but we cannot take our foot off the gas! 😁〽️🏈
I’m not sure if Taylor could name 5 players on this current team. Not to mention him not knowing Jason Avant!?
Saying a 100 year old rivalry is dead is silly. Just enjoy the win.
I'm a Michigan fan what the hell is he talking about?
the rivalry is not dead Lewan
Add what’s happening in recruiting you can’t beat us now good luck next year and the year after we are setting up for another run 🏆〽️ Go Blue
Avant was probably playing in Super Bowl then
I love Michigan. Lewan only beat OSU once. This rivalry is not nor will it ever be dead.
Love how OSU's win streak was against the worst Michigan teams, and Michigan's win streak is against the best OSU teams. OSU may never beat Michigan again.
That’s a great point. So many of those wins are against Rich Rod and Brady Hoke teams. And now Ohio has been ranked # 2 for these past four wins.
No,*ichigan is gonna get cocky at some point and we will win when you least expect it to happen.lol
Yeah bc 2012, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019 were all made up years where nothing happened and Michigan totally wasn’t a top-20 team in ANY of those years.. I forgot🤡
Your an idiot
