Swami Ji's teachings helped me to rise from the darkness. I was once ignorant who used to mock Hindusim. Now I can die for my culture to protect it, I consider myself lucky to be introduced to Sanatan Dharm.

For me it was opposite. I believed way too much on superstitions of hells and many sins a hindu can commit(one sins greatly even at smallest of things according to some sects). I was too afraid to even think about anything. Then swami Vivekananda’s teachings taught me to get out of it.

Karma and reincarnation theory is actually the most accurate theory. I have read all the religious books, but never had faith in stuff like heaven hell.. I believe we suffer for our own actions( that is karma)...otherwise why is so much disparity in the world.. Some are born disabled or poor or suffer.. Some are born rich and privileged.. It's because of their own karma of past life. In our religion, kundli is prepared the basis of which is past life karma.. Amount of happiness or grief that one will go through in life is pre determined, although the way of getting is not fixed. . The ultimate aim of jeevatma( individual soul) is to free from the cycle of karma and merge into the pramaatma( supreme soul).. Which happens after many births and deaths.. Till the soul finally setlles all the karmic debts and becomes liberated

Namaste...I respect all gurus and efforts on SANATAN DHARMA...but we have to understand that GARUDA PURANA clearly outlines the journey of the SOUL....this is very structured journey it clearly outlines what we should be doing in this world...doing good and being good is just a basis...there are many other disciplines one should undergo...studying scripture, visiting holy ground, prayer to GURUS, DEVAS, ANCESTORS, charity, rituals, chanting etc etc...gift of a cow, gift of a bull...the special gifts at the FUNERAL will then assist the person to achieve the kingdom of JUSTICE, we are then judged as to birth we will take...on this journey we need food and shelter that's why we give these gifts...YES the devotees of the LORD will attain the spiritual REALM...so there is a journey for different classes of men...it is not simple...this is GARUDA PURANA - the scriptures on death, all highlighted in Bhg Gita, Bhagavatam, this is the TRUTH

Jay S Garuda Purana is not a scripture of authority, so we need to look at the material in it carefully, Purana word itself means mythology, not true event. There is undeniable proof available for reincarnation, watch these videos:

@@jays7935 Bhagvad Gita is the scripture of Authority but Garuda Purana and Bhagavatam are not, problems with Purana literature is they have so many colorful stories, some of them contradict with each other, there are 18 Maha Puranas, so it is best to focus on Scriptures that are less ambiguous. you are free to decide who you want to call a Guru, Here is a video on how to find a Guru th-cam.com/video/UbKyxgoz9hA/w-d-xo.html

    Bible answers
    Ecclesiastes 3:19,20
19 for there is an outcome for humans and an outcome for animals, they all have the same outcome. As the one dies, so the other dies, and they all have but one spirit. So man has no superiority over animals, for everything is futile. 20 All are going to the same place. They all come from the dust, and they all are returning to the dust.
    John 3:13
13 Moreover, no man has ascended into heaven, but the one who descended from heaven, the Son of man.
    John 5:28,29
28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
    Psalm 37:29
29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it!Mattew 24:36
36 “Concerning that day and hour nobody knows, neither the angels of the heavens nor the Son, but only the Father.
    Mattew 23:8-10
8 But be not ye called teachers. for one is your Teacher, even Christ. 9 You are all brothers. And call no man father upon the earth. for one is Father, which is in heaven.10 And be not ye called masters. for one is your Master, even Christ....
“YOU must not let people call you ‘leaders’-you have only one leader, Christ!” (Matthew 23:10, The New Testament) With these words, Jesus made it plain to his followers that no man on earth would be their leader. Their one Leader would be heavenly-Jesus Christ himself. Jesus holds this position by divine appointment..
Jehovah “raised him up from the dead and . . . made him head over all things to the congregation, which is his body.”-Ephesians 1:20-23.
2 Since Christ is “head over all things” with regard to the Christian congregation, he exercises his authority over all that takes place within the congregation. Nothing that occurs within the congregation escapes his notice. He closely observes the spiritual condition of each group of Christians, or congregation. This is clearly apparent in the revelation given to the apostle John at the end of the first century C.E. To seven congregations, Jesus stated five times that he knew their deeds, their strong points, and their weaknesses, and he gave counsel and encouragement accordingly. (Revelation 2:2, 9, 13, 19; 3:1,8,15,17) There is every reason to believe that Christ was equally familiar with the spiritual condition of other congregations in Asia Minor, Palestine, Syria, Babylonia, Greece, Italy, and elsewhere. (Acts 1:8) What of today?

Jay Lakhani sir is Gujarati and does not speak Hindi or Bengali, but more important than language is a universal message of spirituality left behind by Swami Vivekananda, for your information Swami Vivekananda's most talks were in English, should he have limited himself to the Bengali language then would the world have heard of him and Ramakrishna Paramhamsa? So we need to be more open-minded, language is just a communication medium, the message is more important.

No one ever came back after dying and going to the 'other life'. As Shakespeare said ‘the undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveller returns and puzzles the will'. So on death, that is the end and we return to stardust that we originally, millions of years ago, came from. My neighbour died while in the hospital for 12 minutes and somehow was revived. I asked him was he aware of the next world. 'Nothing' he said. A bit like when I was under general anaesthetic. Best sleep I ever had. Nothing until I was revived by the nurse with a cup of tea!!

Anyone who pays serious attention to the world around them knows this is not so. Everything is cyclical in nature. Physical matter breaks down and is recycled, but that which animates it returns repeatedly.
Also ask yourself whether it truly makes sense that we never existed for all eternity past and future, but for this little insignificant blip of a life. Ask yourself if it really makes sense that we inexplicably were born only in this one body, this one time. Never before and never again? This random body but not any others, really?
Sorry, but I don't buy it. Transmigration of the soul is a fact, and it is also actively taught in Orthodox Judaism, and not as a fringe teaching, but as the central pillar of the faith itself, called 'gilgul neshamot'. And no, it wasn't actively taught until the Middle Ages, but that's just proof that any good religion allows for its own evolution, while inferior religions are stagnant and rigid, stuck in the Neolithic era, and do not allow for the natural unfolding of greater insights.

Minhaj Tunu: Yours is a very small-minded, primitive and unenlightened view of God and the nature of our existence. You clearly possess much ignorance and therefore have many lifetimes to go before you are able to freely acknowledge the obvious truth that is right before your eyes, yet hiding in plain sight apparently. In the meantime, try to refrain from mocking that which presently you are clearly unable to comprehend along with those who teach it.

The questioner needs to know all masters of Sanadhna Dharma have the same idea. They don’t have different views.
The fake ones will probably have their own views.

What a load of rubbish! When our body dies our spirit with all our memories and personality goes to the spirit world so called heaven. Our many past lives memories are also restored. We are judged and assigned to a level or eliminated if evil, hell does not exist. If our goodness in this life is not high enough,, we are re-educated and after many years are reborn until we are sufficiently good. Unless we are judged evil, we are immortal. The spirit world is our real home, this world is just a school to test us.

@@JonathanAllen0379 That's a very sincere argument. I find it very compelling .. :"Also ask yourself whether it truly makes sense that we never existed for all eternity past and future, but for this little insignificant blip of a life. Ask yourself if it really makes sense that we inexplicably were born only in this one body, this one time. Never before and never again? This random body but not any others, really? "
      Can I use this?
