| Japan extended their record to 6-4 and keep their options open for a Final Four berth following their emphatic win over Germany at the 2021 FIVB Men's Volleyball Nations League.
Here's the reaction after the game, from the virtual Mixed Zone:
Linus Weber (Germany): "I think that especially in the first set we played on a good level, but Japan played very well in defence and they are very well-known for their defence and their technical skills. Our sideout didn't work well."
Yuki Ishikawa (Japan): "We played really well in sideout - we were focused on this element all the time. Also in case of transitions we were able to make many points. And these two aspects were really important to win this game. The VNL is a very tough tournament, but this victory will give the team more energy for the upcoming last games."

Ishikawa is one of the smartest players I've ever seen. He knows when to tool the block, he knows when to tip through the blockers, and of course he knows when to absolutely crush the ball.

@@ramachandrakavitha8065 Actually not,Sekita way better then Fuji,Ishikawa and other players always struggled to get timing with Fuji's sets,and finally ended up with blocks,You can watch early matches like last week,they struggled very much..
Look at this-[ 7:50 ] he can easily isolate blockers..
And Sekita's floor defence is next level,like two Liberos on the court...❤️

It's fascinating how when the other countries play volleyball, it's just volleyball.. their jumps are jumps, spikes are spikes.. But when Japan plays volleyball. they move like anime characters. Their form are so cool I don't even know how.. hahaha pay attention to their form and movements. There's a huge difference.
