The pitch actually made this game a classic, was like watching a game again from the 80’s
And just like those great old days in the 80s strong robust slide tackling was something which could not be avoided on such surfaces. So why did Rangers employee Nicky Walsh decide to send off the Dons captain when he knew dam well that the conditions made it impossible "not" slide in. Cheating is the short answer. And why no red card for Kent slapping the Dons player in the face.

As a neutral fan, I'd have to agree. They were more coordinated in the first half, lost a few duels in the second and shooting was ok, McGregor palming them away. No, it was that bad tackle leading to a 10v 11 situation that, over time, undid it for the Dons, but a brill, physical game all round, anyway..

This game had more action than any prem game …and this was a boring game ….that’s saying something
Aberdeen seem happy to have played well. Rangers would not be happy if they played well and lost. Aberdeen just don’t have a winning mentality, the fans are so used to it that they settle for a loss although they put in a decent performance. If I was an Aberdeen fan I’d be demanding more from my club and asking the question why the team leave everything on the pitch against rangers, but can’t do it in any other game. Surely they deserve better?
As an Aberdeen fan I can confirm that is false as we have been complaining this whole season about poor results but the reason why we react like this is to prove to the team and others that we don’t just give up on our team at their worst
@@jacksutherland2765 I get what you are saying about sticking by your team, but the club hasn’t got that ruthless winning mentality and it seems that everyone is ok with it. I remember when Aberdeen were battling it out with Rangers for top spot. It’s fine showing support for your team, but rangers or Celtic have a win or bust attitude every single game and Aberdeen don’t have that. Rangers supporters never gave up on the team all the way through the divisions, but still demanded they win every game.
