What a goal by Scales, either genius, or funniest goal ever, even if it was luck, the ball was well earned, and the cross hit the right general area, his crosses likely aim that close to the goal for the attackers, so in that sense dangerous crosses like that have a xhance of going in, and seeing the rangers defence were pulled out of position, it makes sense it would be a goal v a attacking team, with less people to knock the ball away, or deflect it,reminds me of the regi blinker own goal, as the luck came against a old firm team, if it was against anybody else it would seem less extraordinary, but why not occur v the old firm at times. Scales deserves full credit, as a little lower and it would been headed in, so good stuff. Sometimes you earn luck

Celtic fan, and not an Aberdeen fan, but the defence today was pretty incredible on Aberdeen’s part. Scales’ goal was obviously a fluke but very cool nonetheless. Rangers had a lot of missed opportunities but the Dons’ defence worked very hard and deserved the clean sheet.
Obviously I’m going to be biased when they’re playing against them, but I was just genuinely impressed with Aberdeen’s defence. Rangers weren’t playing particularly poorly, they just lost to the better side today.
An absolutely outstanding performance from all of the lads, everyone played for each other and truly captured the meaning of ‘there’s no I in team’. Selfless and relentless is what we were. The back 3 deserve all the plaudits, especially Liam Scales. He was definitely M.O.M - he has always been a very good player but just didn’t have the right people beside him. With MacDonald and Pollock beside him, he looks like a completely different player, and we should do our upmost to keep all 3 of them next season. I’ve said it before about them lot, they hate it when a team comes out and presses them high and relentlessly like we did. They don’t have the type of players to play a direct style like we forced them into at times, and they made massive errors in horrible areas of the pitch which should’ve been punished more often. Undoubtably, we did get fortunate at times with their strikers being utterly woeful and Roos making a couple of outstanding saves. All in all, we deserved that victory and there’s surely got to be no hesitation anymore in appointing Barry as permanent manager. I highly doubt that the other candidates were currently looking at either are doing or have done a better job at their respective clubs than what Barry and his team have done so far. We need someone who knows the club and the city well and Barry does. He speaks well, knows his tactical stuff and has made astute appointments to his staff to help him already. Surely the only way he doesn’t get the job is if he says no to it. SF 🔴⚪️
