Very Nice! I have built a few of these before, I'm lucky were I live in the sub tropics we have so many to choose from, I will be doing a tidal aquarium down the track, I have two large aquariums I have to situate outside to give them natural light, I'm going to go for sea grasses this time to keep some of the marine Blue-eyes and Pipefish, something I'd love to try, Great job it looks really nice! 🙂
@australianbiotopes4563 Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Macro algae is tough to find here. I'm so used to seeing all softs of stuff washing up on the beach in Australia. I was just watching your new Mountain Stream Biotope video. I always like that you through in some nice aussie landscapes
@@IndoorEcosystem I wish I had of filmed the setup, but I was actually out in that area and collected a few of the fish in one of the drains, I had the tank running and bare to see how the chiller worked, so I already had the fish in there so when I set it up it had to be quick as I removed the fish and put them in a bucket, I didn't want them to stress so I set it up quick without filming it and then thought I had plenty of footage from the area and set the video up that way, but in future the rest will be well planed and filmed before I add the fish, it is always nice to see the habitat your trying to recreate though 🙂
Looks phenomenal! I just love the firefish, blenny and servo, if I ever keep salt it's going to be full of gobys and goby-like fish. They're just so darn cute! Really beautiful tank, hope you have a nice weekend! 🙂👍👍
I couldn't agree more! Goby-likes are just personality machines! They all have their own little quirky traits and faces! Have a lovely weekend as well ☺
I was surprised as well. I suspect it is because a good portion of the sand and the macro algae was from an existing tank. Plus water changes with water from my main tank really kick started the bacteria colonisation.
@seabedoasis A standard freshwater light does wonders for macro algae and soft corals. Even something cheap works great. I like the lack or heavy blues as well. It's a nice natural look. I have a fair bit of random camera gear I used for this video. You can find the list at the bottom of the description. But I primarily used the macro and sigmas
@karmo0o178 Only a little bit around the filter in and out flow, but it's actually quite good. My reef tank above has more issues. I use this lid in winter because it doesn't need to have heat exchange, it's more efficient on heating when it's mostly covered with small air holes drilled in it. But during summer I have an open top one so the tank gets some evaporative cooling,

Loved this build my guy
Thanks! It's actually matured way quicker than I thought it would!

it is an amazing reef tank. so amazing. thanks for showing.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
Tank really developed well for such a short time. Beautiful!!

Ribbon is adorable!
They are such a pretty fish! I had trouble choosing between the red one and the purple one at the time!
Amazing macroalgae aquarium ❤.
I can't wait for another 100 days of progress on it!
Looking great!
Cheers! Much appreciated! :D
Beautiful tank❤
Thank you :)
That looks really cool! I’ve never tried reef tanks before..hope you succeed!
If you ever want to try, macro algae is a great place to start. It's basically a saltwater planted tank.
@@IndoorEcosysteminteresting, maybe someday I’ll give it a shot
This video is too short. I like it so much 😂❤
😅 So many fun little creatures. I have a few more interesting ones for a future video as well. Super quirky!
Amazing ❤
Cheers! I'm surprised how well it's established in only 120 or so days. Now I just need to track down some more Macro Algae! The hardest part!
Great setup! I am growing to love the whiter planted tank look for saltwater aquariums. What type of camera do you use to record this footage?

Do you have salt creep problems with that lid?
