I am a loyal Samsung phone user. Been using their flagship phones for the past decade. I upgraded from a note 10+ to the s23 ultra ONLY because I needed a better camera for my business. After a few years with the note 10+, it seems like the camera quality got worse, but that's another story. Honestly, if you don't need a great camera, don't spend the money to upgrade.
Love my Note 10 plus. I've been rocking the Note line for awhile and hold on to the phones for years. That being said, I'm getting the S23 Ultra 512gb for just over 600 and less after discounts and will hopefully keep it for years. Provided I can get around Samsung's terrible customer service. But, major concerns for me were that the Note has much better storage capacity due to the SD card functionality. But the Note is also running out of support, as the last major upgrade is to the Android 12 with only a few years of security patches left. And remember that the Note was one of the 1st 5G phones and was still experimenting with the technology. The Ultra is a fully capable 5G phone with better camera software and hardware. But they're both great. I remember when I upgraded to the Note 7, and they had to pry that one out of my hands.
Great work as usual sir. The Note 10 is still an excellent choice for folks who don't care about bleeding edge tech, but for those who switch out their phone every 6 months like me lol, the S23 Ultra is the new hotness.
@@Entroprox He brought that 4 years ago. Note 10 plus is definitely not a good choice if someone wants to buy it now as it will not receive software updates anymore.
5 months ago, I traded the Note 10 plus for a s22 Ultra and was able to get $1,000 off my new phone. But I do wish they would bring back the Aura Glow!!
Note 10+ still doing the business and it still has a stoning look 2 it with it's slim format. Great video you have done on both models , s23 camera looks fab and how does it stack up 2 the bigger note 20 ultra ?
Note 10+ is currently so affordable and so so smooth and fast that it's an absolute deal! Camera quality still rocks overall and microSD card slot might be usable for a lot of people I daily drive the N10+ and as Android widgets designer I can say - it's the best phone I've ever used (and there was many)
In recent times there's not much else Samsung or any phone manufacturer can actually do to improve the phone drastically. The software is all the same apart from a few tweaks here and there to cameras. It doesn't warrant spending over 1000 every year for sure. Until perhaps, graphene batteries or projectors built in surface. So no need to upgrade even after 2 years anymore.
Love my Note 10 Plus, don't use it as a phone. Use the s-pen daily for taking notes, mapping, and conducting cross-examinations for my cases. Hoping they eventually move the s-pen to the right side where it belongs, lol. Thanks for the great review.
I'm still using an Aura Glow Note10+ 5G 512gb as is the wife and we both still love them. I considered jumping up to an S23 Ultra 512GB but there just hasn't been enough reason TBH.
I have the Note 10 plus exynos version as a back up and it has aged well, and a S23 Ultra 512gb as my daily, and there is a huge difference in performance between the two especially with the exynos version. The S23 Ultra has extremely fast processing and storage transfer rates for one. Installing an app after downloading takes a quarter of the time than the 10 plus and just the general feel of the 120hz makes all the difference. The cameras are very much improved, not that the 10 plus was bad. I just went outside a few minutes ago with both phones, it is a clear sunny day at 12pm and I could hardly see the 10 plus screen compared to the S23 Ultra, it is that much better. Audio on the S23 Ultra is vastly improved, the 10 plus lacks bass that is deep and punchy on the S23 Ultra. Battery life is like chalk and cheese. I could go on. But those that are happy with Note 10 Plus won't need to upgrade, but I am glad I did, the S23 Ultra is a beast.
Thankyou for this comment.. Super helpful. This answers pretty much what no video I've ever seen on TH-cam covers. Most people only seem to talk about screen/camera, that's about it. (this video is an exception.. Great vid all in all) 🙏👍
The note 10+ def could have benefitted from a brighter screen option when outdoors. Even my Note 4 performed better in that aspect. That being said, the form factor of the Ultra added to the lower amount of ram and inability to upgrade storage was a deal-breaker for me. I'll probably wait until they either bring back the Note line in some form or get with the next quantum improvement.
This video was very helpful. I'm starting my fifth year with the Note 10+ and it's always been enough. As we get closer to seeing the S24 early next year I'm probably going to grab an S23 Ultra at lower price and trade in my Note 10. Thanks!
I loved my Note 10+ in fact I’ve just ordered another one. Refresh rate has never bothered me and the S23 Ultra is just too damn big. The Note 10+ is still manageable. Had the S23 Ultra for 1 day then returned it, a beast of a phone but just looks stupidly large when you put a case on it.
Same i dropped my note 10 plus and got the s23 but im hating it. I want to buy a new note 10 plus but ive heard it's not getting anymore updates or anymore security. 😢 does that mean it can be hacked
@@t-baghoskin7164 security could be an issue but the Note 10 plus has built in Knox protection and if you install Android 12 that also has advanced security features. Just make sure all apps are updated and install an anti virus program. I guess millions of people are using phones that aren't receiving security updates, not everybody can buy a new phone every 2 years. Besides the security updates don't protect you from everything, you still have to careful when downloading apps and controlling what apps have access to.
I still have the Note 10 +. I'm close to upgrading to the s23 ultra... However I'm a little concerned about the control buttons being on the right side of the phone on the ultra compared to the left on the note. It doesn't sound like a big deal but being right-handed when I hold my note my fingers are on the buttons I'm not sure I'm going to get used to the other way around.
@@LetiziaCamboni Hi. It turned out not to be an issue at all, actually the placement is even better. No issues with this phone at all, I'm in love with it!
@@maryjeant Aaaah good to know! Thanks a lot for your feedback ☺️, very kind of you! Oh and what about the pen garage being on the left, if I my ask as well? 👀
@@LetiziaCamboni No problem with the pen placement either. Since I'm right handed, my right thumb comfortable reaches the pen on the left. I was concerned about all the placement changes also... But thankfully no problem at all.
There's just not been enough of an increase in performance from the note 10 plus, to make me upgrade. The note 10 plus, was a pretty big jump from the older notes, but now it seems they're just putting their effort into the folds.
As beautiful as the s23 ultra is, I'm sticking with the Note 10 plus. I pretty much have almost every feature the new phone has and other than slight things and 100x zoom on the camera there's not really that much of a big difference and I'm not getting on a payment plan for the new phone when I bought the Note 10 plus flat out for $1100 3 years ago. The Note 10+ is still an excellent phone and it can still hold a candle even to the new phones Not to mention the biggest win for the note 10+ is SD card support, which the new phone doesn't have
SD cards can get corrupt/damaged and you can lose your data. I never used sd cards even when they were meta back in the days for this reason. Also someone can sneakily eject it and get your data if they get a hold of your phone.
I have the N10+. Have had it since September of 2019. Was thiiiis close to getting the 23, but opted to stay with N10+. Might pull the trigger on the 24, if for anything, the Android 14 OS and 6UI. But, we'll see. The 24 appears to be slightly upgraded from the 23, the 23 modestly upgraded from the N10+. So, maybe not even worth the upgrade. Lol...maybe, then, to the 25??
Yea I just got my s23 ultra I upgraded from the note 10 plus. I had my 10 plus in a 60 dollar otter box and it's shattered the back of the screen then later on the front cracked. I want the biggest case with the highest lip they have. I ended up going with iblasion case. The s23 u is way smoother the size and screen everything is very similar. The battery seems a bit better. The 10 still charged fast so it wasnt a real issue. The camera.. well I'm no professional photographer but I can definitely tell a difference. Also got the galaxy buds 2 pro with it and loooooove them and I'm one of those people where I hate ear buds I can never get them to stay in. They actually stay, the ambient is really cool as well.
Watching your excellent review/comparison from my Note 10+. S23 looks great and you do a really good job. This Note has been paid off since forever. Just not in a financial position to pay over $1,000 again. I'm actually just about to order the Samsung Leather case for my Note 🤣. I'm glad I watched this. Doesn't relieve the itch for a new device, but reminds me this Note is still good. Thank you. 👍🏾
Honestly it's not worth to get a new device. I didn't buy a phone for 5 years and just got the 23 ultra because my carrier was having an amazing deal. Now I feel like this phone will last 7 years at least. It feels like a major upgrade to me. I'm only paying 8 dollars a month for the device and will be paid off in 2 years. Out of pocket I only paid $600 after the carrier promotion. Still a lot but better then full price for sure never will pay more then 600 for a device.
The curved display was dial down 2 people complaining. And I get it. It is not easy it will take a nice s pen and write on the screen Will the current display soul on the S20 3 day made the curve subtle So you're able to write on the screen and it feels like paper And the S Pen doesn't Slide down the Edge to lose contact with the screen.
Waiting on my 23 ultra now. Reason for upgrade was mostly software updates. Not comfortable using an end of life device. I am more curious about memory management with the new chip. Manually clearing memory multiple times a day as a casual user has been the bane of my note 10 plus 5G existence. That and the 5G card on the TMO flavor was not ready for prime time IMHO. I had to click keep writing multiple times on this comment due to accidental touch on the curved edge. Looking forward to that flat screen.
Waiting for the Note 20 Ultra Comaparison. But after watching this video if the Note 10+ is fine for another year the Note 20 Ultra is probably fine for another 2. S25 Ultra it will be.
im still on a note 10 plus, and dont plan on upgrading at all. battery life still great 4+ years later as i do my best to keep battery level between 20 and 80%. I never plug in and charge overnight.
I loved my Note 10 Plus. I miss it. (Especially the Aura Blue!) But I upgraded for 4 reasons: 1) Camera .. goes without saying 2) Battery life 3) Samsung *FINALLY* gave me the ability to do parity with my Note 10+ (12G RAM w/ 512GB storage model, and no other major downgrades which they are wont to do each release) 4) Imminent end to firmware upgrades on the Note 10+. It is what it is. This isn't Apple where they support devices forever. I'm happy with my S23 Ultra. I'd have preferred to keep the Note 10+ another few years, but no major complaints other than I can't get it in Aura Blue. :-)
The Old still held out for several rounds I was going to change the 10 Plus this year to the Ultra.. After this video, I think I will wait for the S24U Thank you. The video was usefully analytical and logical
My thing about samsung is they only update their flag ship phones for 4 years, which is rediculious considering price of 1200$ plus dollars. But love the note and ultra series
I still have my note 10+ and debating upgrading to the 23 ultra so thank you for this video. I don’t know if there is enough of a difference to change. If it’s not broke don’t fix it right 😅
New phones these days just don't have enough improvements to justify paying full price for the very latest ... 4yrs old phones like Note 10plus, or OnePlus 7pro still keep up with current demands perfectly fine.
I pre- ordered the s23 ultra in green, should be in next week sometime. I'm only upgrading from my note 10plus because it will no longer wireless charge.
Matthew I LOVE your content but I really think you should consider uploading in 4k... especially on those photo comparison reviews. Looking at it on my Dell 4k monitor, I don't see much of a difference where as if it was uploaded in 4k it would be very obvious. Just a though, nevertheless, stay up my man
the note 10 plus is a legend, it will still be compared to s24 ultra, s25 ultra even s30 ultra in coming year, samsung must be regretting producing such a good phone making it difficult for some people to upgrade, 256gb 12gb as minimum, sdcard slot as well... the legend lives on
Literally just received my S23 Ultra today. I just watched your video on it while examining my note 10 Plus 😁 Great comparison. I think I might just keep my N10 as a backup after all!
I know that I'm not the only person here with a n10+ angry that it's no longer supported. I feel like I'm being forced into buying a new phone that's almost identical
Do you have the s23 in the power saving mode? Because those scores are smaller than usual. 1600 in single core and 5k in multicore if the phone is cool, is usually what it should do.
Waiting for the s23 ultra too. Currently, on note 10 lite, it's working well just needs a battery replacement. I was swayed by improved cameras, battery, and display well if are part of the spen fan club its costly membership 😔. But yeah I'm suprised how often I use my current device(I used to spend a ton of time on my laptop) but would love it if Samsung offered cheaper alternatives with a built-in stylus and no unnecessary shatter-prone glass on the back.

Thank you for making this video I have the Note 10 plus and it's been my favorite phone for many years now. But it is time I upgraded.
i am impress on how the note 10plus stack up to the 23 Ultra
Hello please please can I have your note 10+ please I'm still using the Tecno spark 4 😭 please 🙏
Wow we needs note 10 plus vs s24 ultra
I have my Note10+ for at least 3 years and it performs really well to this day. I use Dex almost everyday as my home pc, never missed a beat.
The camera and battery boost is not enough reason to dump my Note 10 plus with 512 GB SD card 😑
This video was very helpful. I'm starting my fifth year with the Note 10+ and it's always been enough. As we get closer to seeing the S24 early next year I'm probably going to grab an S23 Ultra at lower price and trade in my Note 10. Thanks!
Currently is samsung black week
Note 10+ & S10 series was way ahead of its time.
Note 10 plus in 2023... Working very nice❤
I personally feel like even this new s23 is still not good enough for me to upgrade from my Note 10 plus that I've had for 3 years now
I loved my Note 10+ in fact I’ve just ordered another one.
@@t-baghoskin7164wtf hacked😂😂😂 no its not get hacked, fhey only wants u to buy i new one phone
I'm curious, have you got it? If you have, how is the buttons position? I have the same concern, especially with my small hands! 😅
@@maryjeant This is great! Very reassuring! Thanks again 👌. It's time for an upgrade 😅
had the note 10 plus for years now and only just starting to upgrade to the s23 ultra. i love the thicker design with a heavier weight
Note 10+ still shining. What a futuristic phone it was ❤❤❤
There's just not been enough of an increase in performance from the note 10 plus, to make me upgrade.
The Note 10+ is still an excellent phone and it can still hold a candle even to the new phones
Not to mention the biggest win for the note 10+ is SD card support, which the new phone doesn't have
SD cards can get corrupt/damaged and you can lose your data. I never used sd cards even when they were meta back in the days for this reason. Also someone can sneakily eject it and get your data if they get a hold of your phone.
@@Meet_Your_Death You can enable sd card encrypt though.
Still using my note 10plus goin on strong
I have the N10+. Have had it since September of 2019. Was thiiiis close to getting the 23, but opted to stay with N10+. Might pull the trigger on the 24, if for anything, the Android 14 OS and 6UI. But, we'll see. The 24 appears to be slightly upgraded from the 23, the 23 modestly upgraded from the N10+. So, maybe not even worth the upgrade. Lol...maybe, then, to the 25??
Rocking the Note 10 Plus since 2019!
Small differences not worth wasting more money
I've never been able to get buds to stay in. Always fall out. I have small ears, so this us interesting!!
Thank you. 👍🏾
Thanks!
Fantastic job on video!! Very clear and informative.
All these years later....it's 4 years my man, not that long ago
back in my days........ (4 years ago) lol
What do you mean? It's a long time. In 4 years you can get a degree.
Watching this on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus 512 GB. 🔥
Thanks! Staying with my note 10 + and saving some money
Hey friend what is the song name playing during pictures preview 14:16
That Note 10 Plus rainbow color was fire 😄
Im totally satisfied with my note 10 plus
The curved display was dial down 2 people complaining.
And I get it.
It is not easy it will take a nice s pen and write on the screen Will the current display soul on the S20 3 day made the curve subtle So you're able to write on the screen and it feels like paper And the S Pen doesn't Slide down the Edge to lose contact with the screen.
Good to know I won't be missing out on much by not upgrading. I love love love the 10 plus I keep coming back to it over the iPhone.
We all know both the note 9 and note 10 could easily carry the newest android updates on a hardware level.. dirty move.
Note 10 plus is the best phone so far, it got most of the features this 2023 phone has.
i love your videos thank u for these quality content :)
I love my Note 10+ (turning 4 yrs old now) but can't wait to get my hands on S23 Ultra.
I loved my Note 10 Plus. I miss it. (Especially the Aura Blue!)
But I upgraded for 4 reasons:
1) Camera .. goes without saying
2) Battery life
3) Samsung *FINALLY* gave me the ability to do parity with my Note 10+ (12G RAM w/ 512GB storage model, and no other major downgrades which they are wont to do each release)
4) Imminent end to firmware upgrades on the Note 10+. It is what it is. This isn't Apple where they support devices forever.
I'm happy with my S23 Ultra. I'd have preferred to keep the Note 10+ another few years, but no major complaints other than I can't get it in Aura Blue. :-)
Ins debating on getting a new phone. For pictures, largest memory, and overall great phone what would you recommend?
Im watching with not 10 plus 😁😁 , its great phone 😍
The Old still held out for several rounds
I was going to change the 10 Plus this year to the Ultra.. After this video, I think I will wait for the S24U
Thank you. The video was usefully analytical and logical
Thanks!
My thing about samsung is they only update their flag ship phones for 4 years, which is rediculious considering price of 1200$ plus dollars. But love the note and ultra series
Thats when its time to get a custom rom
I still have my note 10+ and debating upgrading to the 23 ultra so thank you for this video. I don’t know if there is enough of a difference to change. If it’s not broke don’t fix it right 😅
New phones these days just don't have enough improvements to justify paying full price for the very latest ... 4yrs old phones like Note 10plus, or OnePlus 7pro still keep up with current demands perfectly fine.
I pre- ordered the s23 ultra in green, should be in next week sometime. I'm only upgrading from my note 10plus because it will no longer wireless charge.
Have the same problem with wireless charge. Do you know what causes it?
I love your live wallpaper on the S23 ultra, pretty awesome.
Matthew I LOVE your content but I really think you should consider uploading in 4k... especially on those photo comparison reviews. Looking at it on my Dell 4k monitor, I don't see much of a difference where as if it was uploaded in 4k it would be very obvious. Just a though, nevertheless, stay up my man
Do Note 20 ultra vs s23 ultra please …
Rocking Note 10 plus S10 ultra Has alot of Features but im staying with Note 10 for Now.
Im trying to find you on Telegram ?
S23 is so chunky in comparison, note 10 feels newer.
Where can i get the psycho trap beat (prod. thoughtful) music at?
Badger: what's a yeet?
*Oryx yeets badger*
And I am still with my s8 after 5 years😂😢.
The best honest review man!
Galaxy Note 10 Plus looks better than S23.
Note 10 plus is an absolute work of Art.
the note 10 plus is a legend, it will still be compared to s24 ultra, s25 ultra even s30 ultra in coming year, samsung must be regretting producing such a good phone making it difficult for some people to upgrade, 256gb 12gb as minimum, sdcard slot as well... the legend lives on
Note 10 plus ❤
Literally just received my S23 Ultra today. I just watched your video on it while examining my note 10 Plus 😁 Great comparison. I think I might just keep my N10 as a backup after all!
I know that I'm not the only person here with a n10+ angry that it's no longer supported. I feel like I'm being forced into buying a new phone that's almost identical
Get a custom android rom with newest android lol
Do you have the s23 in the power saving mode? Because those scores are smaller than usual. 1600 in single core and 5k in multicore if the phone is cool, is usually what it should do.
Great review. I'm going to save my money and hang onto my note 10 plus for probably another year
Note10 plus is awesome, still using until now without any problem...😊😊
Waiting for the s23 ultra too. Currently, on note 10 lite, it's working well just needs a battery replacement. I was swayed by improved cameras, battery, and display well if are part of the spen fan club its costly membership 😔.
But yeah I'm suprised how often I use my current device(I used to spend a ton of time on my laptop) but would love it if Samsung offered cheaper alternatives with a built-in stylus and no unnecessary shatter-prone glass on the back.
Get ready to pay a restocking fee because that 23 sucks compared to your 5 generation old phone
@@albandrejaj I'm currently using s23 ultra... Display and storage and chip is upgrade + pen is better too I miss jack though...
Mayne am looking for another alternative phone for my LG V60, i love my V60 but i want another backup phone ,am not a major fan of name brands like samsung google or one plus...you get so much with the lg v60 for cheap and you stay off radar do you have any suggestions? its sad the company closed their mobile department i would have kpt buyign their phones
We must admit that note 10+ was way ahead of it's time.
Still rockin that beast!
Both of Samsung's 2019 Flagships were amazing
@@johnsimmonds2540 What I have noticed that after all odd numbers samsung devices are always special. It's just my thinking.
absolutely what i was thinking. i however still ordered the s23 ultra
True I choose it over note 20 ultra
Flat screen is really worth it for me.
