This RR xing (Bishop St in Framingham) was having some technical difficulties on this night, and MBCR crews had to stand out in the cold and protect the crossing as well as making repairs.
And the best ambient light to shoot trains after dark IS...cabcar headlights. I remember at least one or two occasions where this same group of crossings were all messed up in similar situations.
mint, right in front of the Dennison Company, i go by that X-ing all the time. I've heard a long time ago the train used to go through that building (to pick up supplies to ship and such)
Matt dont know if you saw my fb status the other day, but I saw about 30 guys and a few CSX trucks working on this crossing earlier in the week. Do you anything new or different around the crossing?
I saw that too. It was obviously a flare.... that ends up under the fuel tanks of the engine as it passes over. Brilliant!!!! No wonder Amtrak losses money. Lucky they didn't burn down Framingham.

Hey Matt great video, what CSX train was that? And were you in framingham?
Nice video. Lots of units on that CSX, must have just been moving that power.
The flares are for safety since the crossings were acting up and not activating like they usually do.
buen documento
Saludos!
Yup, this was Bishop St (I just added it to the description lol). The trains were P448, Q119, and P531.

Nice to see thank you
Great vid matt!
Nice video. ike the horns from those 3 trains, especially 1532. Do you think they fixed the problem at that crossing?
I wonder if they stoped the car that ran through flare
Nice job with the vid as well. Those crossings are bad when working normally to as its at Framingham center.
That is NOT Framingham Center. That would be on Rt.9.
Why only 2 gate lights??
OMG! I was there!
Why the flares was it a fire. Power Outage?
What was that red flaming thing in the road?
A flare
