Can you tell me if this car talked and said "door ajar." I'm trying to figure out a car we briefly had that I think may have been one of these, but it said door ajar out loud if a door was open.

I owned the identical car and had an 85 before it. Such a weird, fun little car. One of those "wish I never sold that" cars for sure. Man I miss when car makers still had a sense of fun and would build interesting cars

Interesting detail about the factory seats, they have slots in the head rest to simulate where 6 point harnesses would usually pass through on typical racing seats.
Also the rear hatch of the car is completely removable. They were like mini Jeep Wranglers

Thinking of buying my dads for $1500 CAD. 180,000km on it. Tiny peck in the glass. All lights work. Ebrake. Thing was sanded down to the bare metal and fully repainted. Carb, not fuel injected. But comes with a parts car for the price that did run fine. But a few parts got used restoring this. Also has new bluetooth stereo, backup camera, new speakers. Not inspected. TINY exhaust leak.

@euroasianbob. I had an almost identical car. I bought it with 15k miles right after I turned 16 for $7,000+TTL in 91. Mine was black and awesome. I used to drive as fast as I possibly could all over Washington D.C. where I lived. I could parallel park that car anywhere in Georgetown and could always find parking in front of the comic book store so I could get new books and go to Georgetown Billiards which served beer to 16 year old kids who had black leather jackets and the right punk rock attitude. I love the t shirt and thanks for this video. My wife is now asking why am I tearing up slightly!!! Man this was awesome.
