(千秋 Qian Qiu)Thousand Autumns Audio Drama Season 2 Theme Song English Translation (草木不朽)

Hello everyone, this is my translation for the Thousand Autumns audio drama season 2 theme song. This song is very heavy on imagery in stark contrast to the season 1 theme song, so this is my interpretation of the lyrics. This song recounts Shen Qiao's journey throughout the novel. I would like to thank my parents for the quality check after much roasting LOL, and KK (baegulls) on Twitter for verifying the accuracy of the translation.

Translation notes:
(1)天地 means heaven and earth and usually refers to the world
(2)乘物 in this line probably came from 乘物以游心 from the poem 《人间世》 by 庄子, which stated that by understanding and following the natural laws can one gain such knowledge that will help you reach true spiritual freedom.
(3)The line 遮来路白虹 was somewhat difficult to translate. There are two possible interpretations. The first one is more direct meaning a ray of white light obstructing/shielding the path approaching you.
The second interpretation relates to the interpretations for the previous line "替昨日少年". 来路 can also mean 来源 or 来历 meaning origins. I understood it as Shen Qiao's origins due to him being rescued by Qi Fengge from the dilapidated temple. This line represents his past, present and future.
(4)腥风血雨 literally means foul wind and bloody rain - carnage after a battle.
相撞 means to collide, 化 can mean to melt, dissolve or transform.
This might refer to Yan Wushi's influence within Yuwen Yong's court, where his existence could save the lives of countless many.
(5)I feel like the line “痛醒后继续远走” alludes to the many betrayals Shen Qiao experienced throughout his travels.
(6)四海 translates to the four seas and it's another way to describe the entire world.
(7)大道无用 probably came from the phrase 无用之用，方为大用, a philosophy from 《人间世》 by 庄子. It means that no matter how useless that something seems, it has its greater purpose.
风月 literally translates to wind and moon, and it can refer to romantic affairs or beautiful scenery. Here it probably alludes to the beauty in the seemingly useless things.
刻诵 literally translates to concentrate on recitation
(8)痴者 translates to foolish one, and I interpreted this as one who is foolishly in love.
解梦 translates literally to interpretation of dreams, but 梦 doesn’t necessarily have to mean dream directly. It can also be a reference to riddles or puzzles, hence my word choice for an enigma which is a metaphorical riddle.
(9)他年 can mean either some year or day in the future or the past. I interpreted this as Yan Wushi's forgotten past as Xie Ling which was shrouded in mystery
同尘 probably means shared experiences.
(10)千秋 translates to a thousand autumns or a thousand years. However, it isn't necessarily a unit of time, and can also mean forever.
(11)虚 can mean several things including the void, emptiness, virtual or humble and modest.
虚舟 could possibly be a reference to 虚船触舟 from 《山木》 by 庄子 stating that humans should turn themselves into an empty boat, and deal with interpersonal relations as if we were an empty boat colliding into another one. If we were to be involved in an insignificant conflict, we would not face retaliation. This can be seen as a parallel to Shen Qiao's character throughout his journeys and interactions with the various characters.
