I really loved the Mister Rogers Biography called “Kindness and Wonder: Why Mister Rogers Matters Now More Than Ever” by Gavin Edward’s. I think you might like that one it cuts out all of the super mundane (from what I can remember) and applies his teachings to today’s world which I really appreciated!
You gave us 2 great examples of “The Movie was Better than the Book” 1. “Where’d You Go Bernadette” (Cate Blanchette) 2. A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (Tom Hanks) Sounds like an idea for a future Booklist Thursday 😊
Give yourself grace, Lindsey. 😊 Your best looks different every day, and with your busy schedule, I think you’re rocking it. 🎉 The Lioness has a great cover. I liked Where’d You Go, Bernadette. 😂 I totally understand your reasons for not liking it. Bernadette did not make the best decisions. I have The Nest on my shelf but haven’t read it, yet. It most certainly was a cover buy for me. 😂 Remarkably Bright Creatures was a book that has a great cover, but the story didn’t work for me.
All I can say is five 5️⃣ books 📚 five 5️⃣ star ⭐️ video love 🥰 it prayers and blessings for you and your husband and your beautiful family love your number one Aussie family friend John ❤️❤️❤️
A couple of years ago I did a library read a chapter and The Lioness was one of the books I included. It wasn’t the book I chose to read but it was a contender😊 the cover that is calling to me right now is The Women. But I don’t like war settings so I’m not drawn to read it. But I want to own it because of that cover!
Thanks for letting us know about the Fred Rogers book! Being an early childhood educator and from Pittsburgh, it's been on my radar--but maybe another book would be better to pursue!

Thanks for the warning. 👀

I have this rule if i have no joy in picking up the book then it get's dnf and i move on.
I saw Bernadette on several “this book is hilarious” lists. I was disappointed. I did not enjoy The Lioness either. 🦁
I DNF The Lioness
That's ok life gets I.n the way. We all have those days.Enjoyrd.Chgo.ill.
