Wheein is def my favorite Kpop vocalist! She's just so talented and has this different tone that's kinda one of a kind in Kpop industry, even though i might be a little biased, i know people will just agree.
I have experience working as a camera shooting staff at Mamamoo's performance site.
It wasn't the time when Mamamoo was as popular as it is now, but then I knew that Mamamoo would one day become a big singer.
They have grown beyond expectations and have become very good artists. We always support Mamamoo.

Yeah, I agree with you. This Pandora box performance was so meaningful. They’re just amazing. I was so happy about remake rap part too. Every moment was so beautiful. Especially, “Reminiscing tomorrow’s you, me and us” part was so meaningful. They make me so happy and emotional. I just freaking love them too.

I kinda think now Whee in is leaning into a breathy style of singing, because she wants to have a distinguishing sound that is more drawn to R&B, or maybe she is preserving her voice and not go into super high notes due to the reason that she wishes to continue singing at a longer time of her career.
It's just her style and what she's best at. She found her identity.
She's got the healthiest technique out of all of them so I'd be surprised if self-preservation was the reason. But regardless I do believe it is a stylistic choice and honestly, her breathy style is beautiful so I'm here for it.
@@hsfan876 I know she has the healthiest technique. But as age goes on the voice of a singer is much more fragile, because now she has finally decided to keep singing. So she focuses more on low notes rather than going high. Imagine if she does a comeback like Goodbye/Anymore and sing it every music shows, radio guesting.
Actually, breathy singing can be more damaging to the vocal cords. Wheein's voice has actually changed, and so did her technique. She kind of sings more nasally now if you listen closely.
Hopefully she still stretches out her cords because that voice is fragile. I'd figure just basing on their voices, Solar's is the one that can take the most beating.

Mamamoo deserved the title as Queendom winner. Mamamoo set the standard so high as girl group in Kpop. No group is on their level until now for me.

Kim Do Hoon is the one who made them being a group. Beside being the ceo of rbw, he is a genious songwritter-producer who made dozens of hits for many groups including, BTS, EXO, Gugudan, WJSN, SF9, AOA...and recently Mamadol.

Wheein - Short Hair in Duet Music Festival is a wake up call for those that think she can't sing with clean vocals and can't hit high notes and don't have powerful vocals. btw, she won Duet Music Festival and it was 1 year after debut. there's also her singing Who's Your Momma in King of Masked Singer. she also rap in this song, and 1 of the judges said she's a rapper that can also sing. she fooled a judge to think she's a rapper.
Exactly.. but these 2 performances are so underrated.. but showcases Wheein's solid divine vocals..
there's also her "she was pretty" performance on duet music festival, though a lot found her partner annoying (because she was an excited 18 year old performing onstage for the first time)

I was excited to see you react to this. I really loved it. Every performance by Mamamoo on Queendom is epic. This and Destiny are probably my favorites. Their opening performance of Decalcomanie is my favorite performance of that song. Their cover of AOA's Good Luck is so creative and the energy between Hwasa and Kei on I Kinda Wish You Were Gay is amazing.

There really isn't a group out there that moves me to tears just with their live performances, other than Mamamoo. I still cry everytime I watch their Backwoods performance for Immortals Songs 2. I Miss You in Queendom, more than a song to compete, it was a gift to moomoos, since Mamamoo was not really sure they were on the winning path because of Wheein being absent from some transmissions. That's why they were super shocked when they announced them as winners!

The comment is long already but I can't help to ask you to react to Wheein and Moonbyul solos, specially the latter since she made two beautiful vocal tracks, "ddu ddu ddu", "For Me" and "Shutdown" with Seori who also has a beautiful voice!
We cried together 🥺this stage is so emotional and meaningful for moomoos and mamamoo 🥰
Crying is just a normal reaction to this performance; I started before they even opened their mouths (not _originally,_ because I didn't know what was coming; but every time I've watched it since). You saw those fans in the audience, the ones with the green lightsticks? Those are Moobongs - Mamamoo radish-shaped lightsticks - and the people holding them are Moomoos. And this song is _specifically_ a love letter for them - the round was supposed to be somehow dedicated to the fans; MMM had a vote to decide which song they should do, and I Miss You was a clear winner. Byul rewrote her rap for an extra tear-jerking touch.
And those women backstage - some of them were crying, too, because they got it. It wasn't _just_ the vocals, though that was surely part of it. Some of them were undoubtedly Moomoos too (you saw Minnie from (G)I-DLE singing along with them - _she's_ clearly a Moomoo), and even those that aren't... they're idols too, and they'd have understood the message Mamamoo were sending, because plenty of them would have the same connection with their own fans.
So yeah, no matter what angle you come at it from, crying is just the sensible response.

I don't know if it's because we dont have new MMM songs as of the moment and I miss them so much but I'm crying with you as I'm watching this.
DESTINY and I MISS YOU are beyond my favourite songs in Kpop, and the two performances on QUEEENDOM were really nice. It's to hard to choose.
But even if MAMAMOO is one of my favourite group, even if i cheered for them for QUEENDOM, i personnaly think that the best performance on the show QUEENDOM was from OH MY GIRL, with their cover of the song DESTINY (Cover of LOVELYZ an other contestant).
They don't simply cover the song, they bring this song to an other world. You'll probably like, it's very emotional and some of the members have really good vocals.

Has for people saying that Wheein is too breathe in her voice, it's true that she uses that technique a lot (which I love so much! She sounds angelic in my opinion) but she is very very versatile, all those amazing girls are very versatile and can sing almost however they want. You can also see how Hwasa going higher in her voice through the end. It's just that each of them has their "voice mark" which distinguishes them from the rest. Solar is the one that always goes high with her belting voice and sometimes wheein will support her and go belting higher too. People that say that each one of them can do only one technique or has one card, have clearly not seen and heard enough of mamamoo. It's like saying that moonbyul can only rap. Thanks a lot for pointing out how Wheein belted there, it was beautiful.

But one thing, at 10.30min you say that the belt after Hwasa sings is Solar but it actually is Wheein, I know we can see her on camera but maybe if you hear it again you could tell.
