    If I didn't have my current camera the GX8, this would certainly be on the top of my wish list, great camera for photographers (vloggers plz go somewhere else).

    No tilt screen, I don't get it. They could make it awesome vloging camera plus if you need to take low angle shot good luck especially when floor/ground is wet :(

    Looks good, I liked the LX100 for general stuff and for holidays but the lack of a flip screen was annoying. If they'd added one to this I'd have bought one, but I think I'll pass this time.

    Happy with my Mk1. If it ain't broke don't fix it, Probably not a big enough seller to throw a lot of development money at.

    My LX100, in my coat pocket or in the side bag, does what it does, just fine.

    No built in nd filter with a fast lens. No flip screen. Contrast-detection autofocus which is not as good as duel pixel autofocus. No mic port. I don't think it has the upgrades I wanted. Should be good in low light. I'll have to try it out.

    Hi I really need some help and advice please. I would like to buy a compact camera with a good zoom, good video, picture quality, touch screen if possible, anti shake as I have a small tremor and RA in my hands but I really would like to buy one and finally take nice photos of birds, family so fast moving, night shots and would like to photo water that looks like foggy/steamy if you know what I mean. I am a pensioner (in my 70s so a young pensioner), so cannot afford a lot. I bought an Olympus Pen 10 camera just before the pandemic but then we could not go out. But trying it on birds in the garden and horses in the field where I lived, I realised with these hands not a good idea to have to keep changing lens. Could you please point me in the right direction please. I live in Uk. Many thanks.

    You love it because you want to sell lots of them!

    The omission of even a tilt screen is not an omission, its a means to hamstring the camera so that you dont get all the features you want, and this way, Pany keeps selling the LX10, and GX7..... Its the same advanced frustration game that Canon plays best of all....>"give them NOT what they want in one"... as if they did that, they could not sell the other 340 cameras that also dont give you everything you need.

    Is the image detail from the improved resolution superior to that of the original LX100?

    They've updated this just the way they've "updated" their gx8 .
    I'm telling you,camera industry is paying some lazy af engineers that sit around and do nothing...

    Lx100 ii vs the x100f
    Which one should I get for stills I'm not to worried about video

      In my opinion the X100f. This seems a good camera to be fair. Like the sequence shot feature and the size of it. But would I swap my x100f for it as a stand-alone, no.
      Might get my son the this though.

      Good question. I have the X100t and was thinking of the LX100 II as an alternative before I saw the spec. The Fuji is an outstanding camera. I'm sticking with mine and using a Panasonic TZ100 for reach and Panasonic software/touchscreen benefits. Tilting screens are not an issue for me.

    Flip screen. Weather sealing. ND filter.
    Panasonic, you screwed up in what could have been a perfect camera.

    • @benny9588
      @benny9588 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      also no audio in jack ...... if they add these 4 features in this little one, sure this will beat sony and canon compact 1" camera and become the king of compact still and vlog camera, but Panasonic didn't do it.... and we all don't know why.

  • @gerrymac3694
    @gerrymac3694 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sorry Panasonic the fixed screen is so out dated now when this camera is ment to be creative. It already has a view finder it needs a flip screen no great update from the original LX 100.

    "They've added the same 17MP sensor from the GX9" Except the GX9 doesnt have a 17MP sensor...

    • @Sveafant
      @Sveafant 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know but it can be correct since the sensor is supposed to be cropped in this camera.

    Lovely camera, but what a disappointment as an upgrade to the LX 100, as well as the hike in price. £849 at launch. Seriously?
    With so many other M43 offerings from Panasonic a better specced LX100 II with the fixed zoom would have been a huge competitor to them.
    I'll stick with my Fuji X100T and Pana TZ100 for the software/ touchscreen benefits for now.
