    Okay so like, I knew it was gonna sound good; but I didn't expect it to sound that good. Absolutely killer sound.

    My first good guitar, back in the 70's along with a 1957 Fender Harvard tweed amp.The sound and the tone of these two paired together is simply amazing when you crank it all the way up. Fender at its best!

    Neat! Yet consider, inflationary dollars in mind, a $120 in 1963 would be the equivalent to $860 and then some in 2018. With that in mind, I suppose all those moderately priced, off-shore Femders and Squires are wonderful deals.
    Still, nice guitar and amp. Thanks!

      Yeah, we actually live in a golden age for guitars: we can get quality instruments for insanely low prices

      lptomtom I wish I could relate to it. Here in Brazil, a guitar that is sold in the U.S.A for 399.99, is sold for the equivalent to 1084.60 American dollars.

    I have a vintage music master in the white with a single pup. It’s got a beautiful tortoise shell pick guard against that vintage white and rosewood fretboard looks amazing! The cover on the pup has completely worn away exposing the entire pickup underneath. I still have the original case as well. Which needs some attention! The guitar itself has been locked up in its case since I was about 16 yrs old and I’m 52 now. So it needs a setup in the worst way!

    Amazing tone ... gotta ask: What was the noise floor on the amp, tank, guitar? The recording sounded dead silent... how did you get it so quiet? Thx

    What is the name of this style of sunburst?

    • @darwinsaye
      @darwinsaye 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve always heard of this style just called “sunburst”. I believe the first sunburst were this colour combination, and later on you started seeing other colour bursts, but I’m pretty sure this is just a true *sun* burst.

    Cool guitar but $2000 is quite a steep price for a single pickup student guitar...

    • @Nightshade1881
      @Nightshade1881 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      $120 in 63 was around $800+ in today’s money.
      Sooo yeah $2000 sound about right for a vintage USA Student guitar
      Especially a fender

      @Chris Greene where?

    • @benasslick67
      @benasslick67 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its cause it's pre CBS era that's why it fetches a high price. You could find a 69/70s musicmaster for as low as $400

    An early '63? As I understand, the later 63s were a solid color (Olympic White or Red Mahogany), as Fender was going cheap on the paint/time then. I have a 63 Musicmaster with a neck date of July of that year. It was in Red Mahogany. All original except for the tuners, which were replaced with Kluson Deluxe tuners. Thanks for the video!

    Saying that the quality dropped off with the body redesign and "new" Mustang is just flat out silly. I get you needed to sell this, but really?

    Very interesting vibe but it's limited to rhythm that's the strong point thus in other hand for solos it sounds a little poor for a vintage fender guitar

    • @briancollins6011

      Alexandre Anonimous I totally disagree

    • @alexandreanonimous7056
      @alexandreanonimous7056 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@briancollins6011 what I mean is that guitar follows a specific sound and it's more reliable into rhythm and chords than solos, fender was not successful in this particular model that's a fact

    • @briancollins6011
      @briancollins6011 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Alexandre Anonimous I don't know about that. I have 1959 duo Sonic and when I play it out live weather I'm doing Rhythm or solos people love the sound of it. It's the person not the instrument. Everybody is not into the over mid sound of rock and roll. Some people still like a straightforward clean guitar I'm just saying.

      @@briancollins6011 you have twice as many pickups on that duo sonic . he is just saying it's not as versatile
