Have you ridden with these at all? Could you comment on fizik sizing versus specialized? I'm new to cycling and have a pair of specialized sz 43, but yesterday I tried on a fizik sz 43 at the local store and it was a huge no-go. Measuring with a tape on the floor, their size chart says 43.5. Is there really that much difference in the half size?
Can't compare to specialized as I've not tried them on. I'd say they are true to size and remember if you are going for winter boots allow for thicker socks. I've done 1 ride in 1 degree c and my feet were cold over 4.5 hours, but not as cold as they are with normal shoes and covers. Hope this helps?
@@BeardonaBike I got the chance to try on a 43 Fizik in a store not long ago. WAY too tight for me. The dealer also said that he's no longer carrying their product because the cost to buy in store is higher than online, and Fizik charges a big restock fee for return. I think I'm going to look elsewhere for winter shoes. Thanks for the reply!
@@j3ah0o Try wiggle free delivery and free returns. An alternative is a product called spatz which is like an overshoe. I'll do a review on them in a week or so. By the way I went riding with the fizik with rapha deep winter socks in 1 degree. No problem with the cold.
i tried the Mountain Bike version. If you are a little European with dainty feet, I'm sure these would be great. As a big American size 46 and a high instep, I could not zip the shoe more than half way.
1st impressions performance over looks, as long as they keep my feet warm and dry in sub zero conditions it will be money well spent. Update review to come.
You do a kick ass video presentation. That's why I don't do them. I'm not photogenic and I ramble. But I guess when I'm covering stuff like unified theory looks and rambling are not so much an issue as long as the content is meaty. Yours was really such a pleasure to watch and comparable to TH-camrs such as Unbox Therapy and Lemarr Wilson. How you differed was you're easy on the eyes and ears and you're not cheesy as hell. You did it for me anyway.

A couple of issues 1.)If you have a very thin foot like me it's hard to get the boot tight enough 2.) Support on the heel could be better 3.) If you ride in very very heavy rain or rivers there is no way for water to escape. Other than that for very very cold temperatures I think they are fantastic. Rain no issues as long as it doesn't get inside from the ankle. Only happened once. Hi Viz heel and easy to clean. Haven't seen another boot out there I'd replace them with yet.
@@CyclingwithRuss if you are in the UK best over shoes I've used are Spatz in particular the Pro model better than your standard over shoes but still don't perform as well as the Fizik in sub zero weather conditions
Where was the review? You didn't even put them on and lace them up. Like you said, if water runs into the top you end up with a shoe full of water all day.
Hey dude, not long after I posted the video I did my knee in and was off the bike for 4 months so missed winter. I've had them on the last few weeks kept me warm but not tested in heavy rain. Yeah there is no way for water to escape you are right about that. I guess its unavoidable unless you have seal the tops with latex material a bit like velotoez.

Beautiful composition of the shoot. The footwear is ghastly. For the review to be meaningful of course, you'd need to wear them on the job.
