@@robertalmond7066 HE earned every square foot too. He still has the same personality and is just as kind and loving as when he started, even more so now. He's has a genuine heart & soul, which is rare considering his experience. HE'S RARE IN EVERY WAY THAT'S UNDENIABLE.
Alan is one of the main reasons I became a singer/songwriter and moved to Nashville. One of my many goals in life is to open for him, or just meet him in general, thank him for all the inspiration he's given me.
That is exactly why I moved to Nashville in 2000. I became a security officer at that Grand Ole Opry and I met him and a whole bunch of other artist as well as actors, politicians, ect. I opened up for him once or twice and it was awesome. He is the only artist that I was a little nervous and star struck meeting. Very tall man. Chase your dreams and dont' let go

I’ve read his wife’s book, I’ve followed him for years. His daughter that lost her husband weeks after marriage. It all breaks my heart!!! He is such a good man. His wife is the beat woman a man. Could ever ask for!
I agree...loved her book and their beautiful family....he always looks so proud when he has his beautiful wife and daughters with him...they don’t come along like him very often... he’s so sweet about his kids. That makes him even better.

I saw you in Indiana 20 yrs. ago & to this day it's been my best concert ever. And I know that you will always keep country alive, it really needs you now. Fantastic interview with Alan, I too have been big fan of his since I was a little kid. A couple of favourite songs of mine that I wish he would do in concert include Someday, Who says you can't have it all, There Goes, Little Man and That'd be alright. Looking forward to the new album!
Alan is one of the 3 89ers along With Vince and Travis T..so many bangers with all these singers..But there's one song that always hit home with me from Alan..it was SOMEDAY..still gets me to this day..and when Alan sang Georges greatest song of all time at the possums funeral..WELL..that to me..was well..what livin life is all about.
