It’s a shame some of these shops don’t sign up to TGTG in the spirit it was intended to be. They could put some thought into the surprise bags so that it can be of genuine use to someone. I have had bags from some shops at 9pm or so at night which contained several packs of smelly throw away fish that were dated for that day and were obviously gone off and were only fit for the bin 😠
Hi hannah, thanks for another grocery haul I really like this new way but you do it whatever way works best for you and your family. A great way to use up carrots is carrot cake and carrot and parsnip soup Is really tasty too. You could add it your bolognese it's a handy way to add extra veg into sauces. Hope little Nathan feels better soon and that you will get a full night's sleep soon too. Your an amazing mom.
Thank you. Nate is on the mendcwhich is great. A whole night sleep would be amazing but I won't hold my breath. Nathan has a sleep problem which is being investigated. He has only ever slept through the night once in his life x

I was thinking of using Morrisons for my next to good to go box, this put me right off. Aldi is on a different level, I was given 2 x Carrot bags, 2 x bags of potatoes, and 4 packets of meat including 2 z Wagu Beef Burgers and 3 x 2 Gammon Steaks. Plus several items of fruit. Some shopa embrace the concept and realise you still need to cook wholesome meals out of these discards but others just want to dump unhealthy food on you. The ratings are really important in that regard on the app. It shows how much a supermarket are thinking about what goes in each box.
British carrots are so much fatter than American carrots. Time and time again, I find myself very surprised at how healthy they look. Sorry your little one doesn't feel good. I remember how difficult it is to get medicine in them. Is it warm in England? Here it has been under 45 degrees Fahrenheit today. I'm wearing a sweater, but its still cold. We turn down our thermostat to keep our bill down. I've been so tired as I got up around 4.
Lol ye our carrots can be fat lol 😆 thankfully now nate has had some doses of antibiotics in him he is starting to improve. It's been quite mild here today about 12 degrees and a little drissle of rain. Iv not been using my heating for couple of weeks really. Trying to keep bills down. Obviously tho if it does get colder I would put heating on but most of the time it's only me that is cold lol all the kids take after Steve and are hot all the time lol x
You look fine Hannah my Morrisons is the same for bread products and mouldy foods so I won’t be getting them anymore unless Morrisons change occasionally I some good bits but it’s rare

Chataney carrots are pretty good, especially for kids, they're sweeter.
We have had them before the children wasn't too sure on them because they looked different to what they are used to but they will eat them x
