What do you think of these new products and arcade cabinets from New Wave Toys? Are you interested in picking up some of these items? Let me know in the comments below!
These are a lot of fun, and I've got three with Dragons Lair on the way. I didn't realize they were going to do a Missile Command cocktail! That was the first arcade machine I ever played on, and it was my Dad's favorite. He passed away a couple of years ago and I would pick that cocktail cabinet up in a heartbeat as a reminder of those days.
EDIT UPDATE: Got my Centipede and Tempest cabinets. Both look incredible and play like the original games. Tempest spinner is not 1 to 1 genuine spinner but close enough. New Wave Toys have just launched their Replitronics line with the USB hub/Change machine and Cassette player/charger. They're even offering Replicade base pads designed to look like 80's arcade carpets. More perks coming soon. They're only producing the wooden change machine but that may change if demand is high. www.kickstarter.com/projects/newwavetoys/replitronics-kickstarter/description P.S. The Street Fighter II cabinet will be shipped out later this month and they'll start selling the Dragon's Lair cabinet either mid or late September.
On the eve of my Dragon's Lair delivery, this video ups my level of excitement. I'm in the Kickstarter and pre-order for the Boombox and Asteroids machine.
I'll take one of each lol! The coin change machine powerbank is friggin awesome. I absolutely love that one, and its not even a game hehe. Well done though. Thx for the vid CT!
This popped back up to the top of my feed so it's interesting to re-watch in 2022 to see what has/hasn't been realised. Conclusion: in fairness, NWT haven't done a bad job, there are a couple of features missing in way of games (1944/5), also interesting to note that Missile Command is currently the latest to be announced cabinet but there was a prototype on their stand way back in 2019. It's been a tough couple of years so all in all I think they've done an incredible job 👍👍👍.
I have Centipede, Tempest, and the change machine and I just preordered Asteroids. They did an "overhaul edition" that looks like an authentically aged and restored cabinet with blue t molding and buttons.
@@cooltoy I work at a barcade, so I repair and restore old cabinets pretty regularly. The cigarette burns and wear around the control panel and coin door are perfect and just make it feel more real to me. As a side note I always like the specific wear pattern that appears on old Pacman and Frogger cabinets. Since they are one handed games, many people gripped around the t-molding with their off hand and leaned into the machine. As a result the left side art vinyl up by the marquee is almost always worn away.
Love the detail and the added coin slot. Wonder if you could get the coin slot with some modifications for the arcade1up cabinets? Cool video keep them coming, can only imagine how much there is to see there!
Already have Street Fighter preordered. Definitely getting Dragon's Lair and Coin Machine. Will be making my own Diorama arcade with Street Fighter figures
They are the best. I think they will become collector items as they sell out. Down side is I need to now buy 1/6 action figures to stand beside them🤔. But that’s cool it make it more authentic when it real looking. They are exceptionally made and quality is great. Buy one before they are all gone is my say.
Got the last Centipede cabinet before they sold out. I've seen ones at my local Best Buy stores. Might wanna leap on that before its too late. And, yeah, I'm thinking of getting 1/6 figures for these cabinets and their USB hub/change machine. Anyone know of an Etsy store that sells 1/6 scale 1980's fashion?
I would love to work with these guys. Very creative thinking combined with attention to detail like no other in game play and design. Two things I strongly believe in. I can't wait for Asteroids and I have my eye on a few others. From a perfectionist: Nice Job! Simply Amazing!!!!
This is probably the only way I will ever have a fully functioning game room in my house lol wife can't say there's no space now now I got to buy a big ass doll house and make it man style
If you have an big room to dedicate to cookie cutter 1up machines, that's cool. The Replicade (and the Numskull) machines not only play the original arcade ROMs, they are pretty meticulous replicas of the original cabinets with correct screen ratios. There's more collector and resell value there I think.
Now that Dragon's Lair is out (gotit!), I'd love them to finish the license with Space Ace in the dedicated 'inverted pedestal' cab. Those were freakishly rare (still are), and would be a great mini-cab. flyers.arcade-museum.com/flyers_video/cinematronics/38400402.jpg
Man, I all but put these out of my mind... Since I wasn't willing to pay the money for the Pac-Man machine or the others. Some of them went on sale. But wanted the Pac-Man first, I wasn't paying over two hundred bucks. To each their own
Ok, got mine today and IT SUCKS BALLZ! WTH NEW WAVE TOYS? Did anyone QA these? I now have a worthless POS on my hands from China. The game is totally out of flow. For instance, the opening scene is not there, then it jumps to the horse, then to the bats, randomly then to Daphne? WTF, TOTALLY DISSATISFIED AND GOING TO OPEN A CC CLAIM, B.S., WAITED OVER A YEAR FOR THIS CRAP, UNREAL. Anyone else having this issue with theirs? Any customer support? I've been ignored by NWT to this point, sucks...really sucks...$145 paperweight.

Definitely going to get street fighter and dragons lair! Also looking forward to the Bluetooth speaker
Need Full Sized Versions - Wish you could hook these up to a TV!
Dragon Gamer That's a good idea.
the bluetooth boombox looks amazing!
$90 each seems a little high. Cool idea though.

Have all their stuff, it's wonderful and you can tell these dudes are old school gamers. Happy to give them my money.

I preordered an overhaul edition myself today. I thought it was super clever all the little nuanced changes they did to that one

There goes all my money. Can you imagine having a full arcade of these tiny machines? Heck yeah!
I plan on having a work desk that looks like a full on arcade with all of these bad boys lined up!
Cool Mini Time Machine. Dope!
these things are amazing! Definitely a blast from the past.
Love the detail and the added coin slot. Wonder if you could get the coin slot with some modifications for the arcade1up cabinets? Cool video keep them coming, can only imagine how much there is to see there!
Thanks bro for sharing this video are you doing and I I am so excited to see some more I'm have a good night
Ok I will absolutely get that Dragon's Lair. Would love a 1Up version with all 3 Bluth games on it also.
I love the Rowe BC3500 Changer as a power strip.
it's a super cool idea for anyone that has a few of these little machines.
Already have Street Fighter preordered. Definitely getting Dragon's Lair and Coin Machine. Will be making my own Diorama arcade with Street Fighter figures
that will look great!
That boom box look sweet

I agree, these things are highly collectable and will be highly sought after.

Really cool stuff. Would love to get these arcades for my desk at work.
that's exactly where I have the ones I own at!
They all look pretty sweet.
they are very fun to play!
I just bought the street fighter 2 replicade now I want the 1942. Love that game.
This popped upon my feed well after these all sold out. Wish I could’ve pre ordered them 😭

Amazing video! I had no idea they were making these..You deserve initial affiliate status.
thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
I may have missed it, but what new products are expected to be released this year (before Christmas) and in 2020? Thanks. :)
Street Fighter, and the USB battery bank change machines are the next releases for 2019
Oh man, hope you guys make Tron with its control stick.
Looks like some great games! Seems like the right size for my 6” figures!
I would love to work with these guys. Very creative thinking combined with attention to detail like no other in game play and design. Two things I strongly believe in. I can't wait for Asteroids and I have my eye on a few others. From a perfectionist: Nice Job! Simply Amazing!!!!
they really strive to make sure these machines are as accurate as they possibly can be.
Haha I love show and tells cheers

thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words.
This is probably the only way I will ever have a fully functioning game room in my house lol wife can't say there's no space now now I got to buy a big ass doll house and make it man style
lol the doll house idea is hilarious
If arcade1up does a dragons lair trilogy cabinet that runs on daphne,I will take out $300 from my switch savings account in a heartbeat
Same
That was for awesome video little arcade great dude thank you once and have a great night bro
thank you very much!
$90 for one of these compared to $300 for a 1up? I think I’ll stick with 1up.

@@BradHoytMusic I agree 100%, I just don't understand why not have a hdmi port, then it would be just like having the arcade machine minus the size.
It's for collectors
@@BradHoytMusic SFII seems to be stretched on a 16:9 screen, so maybe hit and miss in regards to aspect ratio. Looks good otherwise though.
great stuff! btw, is that the GIJoe explosion graphic I see in the background when you pan to the left???? 😁
I want to get a few of those machines.
me too, my desk is going to look like an arcade when its all said and done lol.
Wow...I can have an arcade on my desk.
I want that boom box
Same here! My eyes lit up when I first saw it. 😍
Make a double dragon one
Cooltoy, I'm feeling the music you put in this video and can you please tell me the songs name please?
"A Nebula Inside" by ELFL
Thanks buddy. :)
If they made a dead ops arcade machine where you could join another system...my mind will be blown
My poor bank account... Dragon's Lair and 1942 are must buys for me!!!
vgv
Eh, kinda cool but theyd cut into my arcade 1up savings haha. Also i finally ordered mortal combat. Plan on getting the xmen arcade soon!
Man, I all but put these out of my mind... Since I wasn't willing to pay the money for the Pac-Man machine or the others. Some of them went on sale. But wanted the Pac-Man first, I wasn't paying over two hundred bucks. To each their own
As much as I like what they're doing, I can't see myself buying any of the mini stuff.
...except maybe the change machine USB hub.
Price?
most of their cabinets are around $100
Dragons lair NOW! Take my money
it even has the mini LCD scoreboard!!!
I will pay $100 for the 1942 I have to have it.
I love that they stayed true to the cabinet design on that one!
Yeah that 1942 and Dragons Lair Not a big fan of that one but the Arcade looks cool
Just dont see a matching prize for size and competition.
dont dig it but keep up the great work!
I have huge hands.. so these aren't ideal for me.. I'll stick with the 1up cabinets
Laviathen Latos I consider these to be more like functional pieces of art. Not something necessarily intended for everyday gameplay
